Hey loves,
As you guys know, I've been VERY transparent about my NP journey. I've been sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly with you all. With that being said, I have decided to resign from my first NP job. In this video, I go a little into more detail as to why, as well as, give you some tips that I have learned in the process.
xoxo,
Nandi R.

Congratulations! I’m a current FNP student. I appreciate your transparency. I am a strong believer if you aren’t treated correctly then move on. Life is too short and 40+ hours spent with people who don’t value you is insane.

One thing for sure, two things are for certain, I am crazy about me! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Good for you Nandi for not staying in a place where you’re not appreciated or valued. I was a teen mom and my grandmother instilled in me to stand on business when it comes to how people treat you! What’s for you, is for you; I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. Thank you for always being so transparent and real. I’m taking in all of your lessons as I embark on my journey to NP. Many blessings!🩷

Thank you so much for sharing your story. This happened to me too as a new RN grad last year. I felt so discouraged within myself once I left my 1st job. Thank you for sharing ❤

Wow! I can so relate to this. I quite my first NP job after 8 months for the similar reasons. Even though it’s hard to land a NP job, it’s even harder to stay and deal with mistreatment.

Thank you for always being so transparent. I am studying for boards rn, and this is a common theme I am seeing with new grad NP's. Honestly, what a loss for that practice and their patients in losing such a passionate provider. Trust the process and continue to advocate for yourself like you would do to your patients; can't wait to see how your journey progresses- and thank you for sharing

How many weeks/months did you have to give before quitting?
@NandiR.
@NandiR. Месяц назад
TBH, it's been so long now that I really do not remember. I definitely was not there a year though. I probably quit after 6 months, but that's just an estimate at this point. I did not sign a contract that required me to stay for a specific period of time, and I am glad I didn't lol so when I was ready to leave, I left. No regrets.

If you had a good job you liked, why quit?

I think you’re referring to the job I said I’ve been at for 6 years - that job is at a women’s health clinic, and I’m a pediatric NP. I would have only been able to utilize my RN license there, not my NP license. Hopefully that makes sense, but I do spin the block on them every now and then PRN 🤣
