Aww.. this brings back old memories. My Mom used to make bunnies out of socks and I remember I had one that I loved so dearly til it fell apart after so many years of dragging it around. She made little dresses for it and it was the cutest.
:( Yes, it was ! Sadly she's gotten to the age where she don't remember how to make those or even that she ever made them. I'm gonna have to grab me some socks and make one for her in return. :D
+MYT CR8TiV so cute!I re ember that I used to have a santa puppet and my oldest dog ripped it apart, and my bro & I were taking care of our other dog,Biscuit who used to be the size of mom's Palm!
Jimcrv Aww thank you!! That's one of the nicest comments I've ever gotten :D! I've never actually been good at sewing, and I was never able to make those pattern-based plushies because there was too much tracing, cutting, pinning and other fiddly parts. The sock plush method is something entirely different and much easier to get the hang of but the results are amazing.
I love the way you explain everything so clearly in your videos. One can really notice how you're really wanting to help people get better and have fun with crafting. Love your videos!
RainbowPuppet Thank you so much!! I realised from watching YT tutorials myself that the videos which have too much explanation tend to be intimidating and put beginners off trying it. Wherever possible, I always decide not to give exact measures, templates or patterns because I want to people to learn that crafting should be fun and instinctive (like cooking), without the need to measure or trace everything exactly.
I reaally love your videos. The thing that makes you stand out from many crafters is that your products come out at a very professional quality, while not putting too much cost in the supplies either. I can see why your Maqaroon business is a success because you have a very clear idea of what you're doing in terms of business and not just doing fun. I would love to see more videos with clay though. :)
Lin Z Thank you so much ^___^! The video after my next tutorial will feature clay again. When I started the channel I decided to follow 2 criteria for all my videos: One was that the final piece had to look nice enough so that people could potentially sell it for money and second was that it should not be possible to deduce how the piece was made simply by looking at the thumbnail. I also try to show something new in each video so people don't get bored and will want to watch new uploads because they know they can learn something they didn't know before :)
fredka2412 Thank you so much, what an awesome comment :D!!! Reading things like this make me so happy I got started with RU-vid and keeps me motivated to make more videos
This is an amazing project! The body is nice and simple that I modified it slightly making the ears a little more rounded, changing the face, and giving it a squirrel tail to make a squirrel plush instead and I just love how it turned out
You always find money saving crafts. And that's what I love about your channel. Also when you do giveaways you always think about other channels. Usually RU-vidrs say u need to be subbed to their channel but u always say that u have to be subbed to channels with less than 1000 subs. You are a good person always stay that way. 😀😋😉
Ryana Musarrat Awww thank you so much!!! Even though lots of people see Maqaroon as a big channel now, I've actually been working on this brand for almost 5 years. I remember too well how much it sucked at the beginning when I was trying so hard to promote myself but nobody even gave smaller creators a chance. Many of the bigger creators seemed extremely untouchable (some even quite arrogant) and they weren't at all interested in helping out smaller channels or brands. So I think this is the least I can do and if the crafting community gets more popular then it benefits everyone inside :D!!!
Ahhhh too cute!! It's nice to see these little guys get some recognition! I'm from Perth, Western Australia and still scream whenever I see them on Rottness Island XD cuteness never gets old~
***** Thank you! I was surprised myself that it actually all fit into one sock! I actually filmed two at the very beginning because I was sure it would require more fabric.
Thank you for doing another sock plush. I do love them. I can't wait to one day try them i think ill try the black cat first and this one second so cute.
+Maqaroon Thank you for replying! :3 Not many youtubers actually reply to the comments but you did and seemed genuinely nice! Loved your other videos too!
Quokka's are such cute animals, never knew they existed! Love sock plushie tutorials or any videos of your diy videos really, so relaxing. Seems like a project made for weekdays where there's spare time and it's a summer afternoon. Love this video, the plushie is so cute. Great work! =)
