We sometimes say it ''deen over dunya'' meaning we put our religion over the whole damn world as you said. Btw, deen refers to faith/religion, and dunya life or this world.
@@FNFNFN99KKK i think you got confused witj your last line haha, you meant to say deen refers to faith/religion right and not dunya haha it may be confusing for non muslims to read bcuz muslims know what u mean but they dont so we have to explain things clearly to avoid confusion yk. Just a reminder from one muslim to another:)
Barakallah I’m so happy for you guys for starting to learn the Qur’an. Seeking knowledge is very important in Islam. May Allah(S.W.T) keep you both connected with the Qur’an and to always go back to words of our lord Allah(S.W.T) Ameen, that is where true happiness lies.
I used to attend birthdays when I was young but stopped when I learned birthdays is not part of Islam, it was never celebrated by Prophet Muhammad nor his companions nor descendants of the Prophet's companions. So instead of attending birthday celebrations I have so much fun attending a gathering with my best friends and family and enjoy cakes, fruits, and other great tasting food. 😊 I was curious where birthday celebrations originated and I found: Birthday celebrations It all started with the Egyptians. The earliest mention of a birthday was around 3,000 B.C.E. and was in reference to a Pharaoh’s birthday. But further study implies that this was not their birth into the world, but their “birth” as a god. When Egyptian pharaohs were crowned in ancient Egypt, they were considered to have transformed into gods. Greeks innovated all those birthday candles. Gods and goddesses were a huge part of Greek culture. Greeks offered many tributes and sacrifices to appease these gods. The candles also symbolized the sending of a signal or prayer. Blowing out the candles with a wish is another way of sending that message to the gods. The ancient Romans were the first to celebrate the birth of the common “man.” This seems to be the first time in history where a civilization celebrated the birth of non-religious figures. Regular Roman citizens would celebrate the birthdays of their friends and family members.

Salamun Alaykum Jasmine and Dawood ! I ask you if you want to please share with us the Quran that Dawood was holding and the Quranic classes that you are following so that we can all learn! Thank you
I loved Carrefour when I was living in Lebanon. I was surprised when you said 15.95 Durham..that is about $4 for a small bag of carrots 🤪..crazy expensive.
Hey Jasmine and Dawoud! If you don’t mind me asking how did you find the Quran teacher? Is there a specific website? I’m also interested in taking Quran classes
Carrefour is so expensive in Dubai! I would highly advise you not to do your grocery shopping there. There are alternatives that will half your shopping bill honestly. Places like Nesto for example. There are loads of so called hyper market. You need to shop around. And avoid doing grocery shopping in malls. 😊
