In my family, we’re not really allowed to cover our head because it signifies that we are in mourning and someone has died in the house. When it comes to dressing modestly, as long as you’re comfortable, the dress fits your setting, the weather, the country and the job you do. Then you’re fine. For example if I’m in Saudi I won’t put on shorts and go to the store. If I’m in US, I’ll wear shorts outside of work, if it’s hot. Context matters. I don’t like covering my head, it’s done during death time. It’s very rude to be judgmental and attack someone who chooses to cover their head for a different reason. Being a hijabi should be a choice not a strict mandate. Do it for you not for your followers.
