Abdul Nasir Jangda said something similar in a Quran Weekly video: "When you want to do 1 pound of da'wah/share 1 pound of knowledge, make sure you are packaging it inside of 2 pounds of akhlaq/good character/good conduct".
Very, very true, many will not trust religion because we have trust issues towards each other due to the condition of the world, but your character, the way you live and treat others, speaks for you. :)
May Allah bless Nouman Ali Khan - "It is a disservice to Allah's book when you present it in a way that is spiritually bankrupt. When you present it in rational terms and don't respect its spiritual integrity. Don't be shallow when you speak about the Qur'an." May Allah bless you my brother.
yes Islam isn't a contest or a debate. A Da3wa is 2 things, the message and the person making the Da3wa...You are so right to remind us this. Not everybody is qualified to talk about Islam and to explain Islam to others but every Muslim should think of acting/behaving as a Muslim, this is the simplest and best Da3wa we can all make.
MashaAllah another superb lecture full of Wisdom and in the Spirit of Quran e Karim and teachings of our Prophet Mohammad peace & blessings be upon him.
Mashallah, I am so proud to be muslim brother with you. You are alhamdolillah a very very smart and kind person. May allah give you a very nice place in the paradise with all your family inshallah. Please keep teaching us all those beauty of islam. Salamucalaykum brother :)

this is amazing....I love his speeches but this one in particular talks about the young umma and specially youth who wants to go out and do da'wa. May Allah bless you with Jannatul Firdaus my brother Nouman Ali Khan
Amazing, I jus came across this video for the first time and have no idea what ICNA is, but man, is this guy awesome or what! Hi ability to deliver such important and reasonable points in such a limited time is very impressive! Amazing intellectual! And very crucial and important points raised may i add
Jazakallah u khairun for sharing. Brother nouman makes excellent points, as usual. May Allah grant him and his family (and all of us) Jannatul firdos. Ameen. May we all meet there.
Sometimes you gotta do dawa to other Muslims too. Thats where complicity starts. Some of us dont know how to approach. I really hope Allah will give us the sense to approach people
MASHALLAH IN THIS AGE HE IS DOING DAWAH WHICH WAS THE OCCUPATION OF AMBIAH SO LUCKY GOD HELP U!! DAR JAWANI TUBA KARDN SHEWAIE PEGHAMBRI AST WAKT E PERI KURKE ZALEM MESHWAD PERHEZGAR
One of the most crucial teaching's I've come to learn about this religion. Its amazing how when one looks carefully at the details to something, how humble they become for they know their is no room for abstract arrogance; the ego.
MashAllah! May Allah bless all of you with long healthy life, strong imaan and may Allah always be raazi with you, ameen.. this dua is for the scholars, the people in ICNA and all diff islam organisations doing dawah work, the cameramen, all the volunteers, and all people attending, and everyone who listens and want to follow the siraat-e-mustaqeem. May Allah protect us all from shaytan, and may we be blessed with joining Prophet Muhammad Sallahu alehi wassalams company in Jannah, inshAllah :)
Alhamdulillah! It's a very enlightening and motivating speech. May Allah gives us the credibility for us to deliver the message thru dakwah. May Allah bless Nouman Ali Khan and give him the glad tidings as well. Ameen.
This video is extremely important, yet VERY short. I think it needs more collaboration. atleast a 40min talk. I hope we reflect on what bro.Nouman just said and I hope to see more on this topic in the future insha'allah.
Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. [6:125]
Salam a3likoum, The brother here is really making a point. Soubhann'Allah, you are really speaking to me right to the heart! Short but deep! Thank you, Jazak'Allah khayran. I have one suggestion about these videos: can you please but subtitles in english on them? because I am french speaking originally and even if I can understand english, it is hard to understand everything! Allah y barek fikoum
*CONVERSE: The only way to turn around the life of an individual and of a society is to focus on connecting humanity to the one and only creator of all and everything.* *Now, this will come about through a prerequisite fulfilled - set your matters right, which means transforming oneself, families and societies in the cause of that single-most important and paramount purpose -دعوہ اِلیٰ اللہ connecting people to their one and only creator.*
Also, just because an explanation seems to have superfluous elements does not in any way imply that it's wrong. Imagine seeing a small toy car drive in a circle on the floor. You can hypothesize that there is a preprogrammed computer chip in the car that causes it to drive in circles. This is a valid hypothesis. But one can also hypothesize that the car is remotely controlled by a person. Both hypotheses are plausible although one involves an intelligent being. It's up to us to consider both.
[Quran 21.30] Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the Earth were meshed together then We ripped them apart? And then We made of water everything living? Would they still not believe? [Quran 51.47] And the heaven, We built it with craftsmanship and We are still expanding. [Quran 21.104] On the day when We will fold the heaven, like the folder compacts the books, and as We originated the first creation We shall return it; a promise (binding on Us); surely We will deliver.
You can debate, but your intention should not be crushing your opponent but rather show him the right way in a best manners. Debate for other reasons than that is showing only your ego. Your behavior is the best tools to win their heart.
"Look into our claims before you come up with a reply otherwise there's no point in having the conversation in the first place." Very true! I am not interested in relibabble.
They are superfluous provided that we can eventually explain everything in our universe without one or more gods. So finally getting back to what Ahmed Mahmood was saying, how can we reasonably explain how a man who was born around 570CE was able to come up with scientific ideas, some of which were not discovered by humanity until 1927?
If you're asking about how one can conceptualize a god, I'd say that a god would be similar to the Big Bang in some ways. While many believe the Big Bang was the source of all things in our universe including matter, energy, space and time, we can think of a god as the source of the Big Bang. So at the very least, if one can conceptualize what the singularity (the tiny volume where the universe began) leading to the Big Bang looked like, one can imagine a unified creator of all we see.
I agree with brother Nouman about debating trends growing among kids/youths who are always willing to win a debate thinking thatit is dawah. Many of them have created forums on which they invite other religion people and try to prove that Bible is not the word of God and so on . . .
For us, if Allah allowed us to do... that correct because He is my maker and sustainer of this universe and beyond, total sumittion to God (Islam) is not only a spiritual attitude of mind or a code of sublime precepts but it is also a self-sufficient orbit of culture and a social system of well-defined features. Islam not only prescribes beliefs and defines the metaphysical relation between man and his Creator but it also lays down rules of personal conduct and social behaviour. Allah know best.
HAHA Selam alejkum, this is the only video where Brother Nouman was right on how many minutes he is going to talk about.. it is funny because when he says 'I am going to finish this in 5 minutes inshaAllah' the time here on RU-vid shows 10 to 15 minutes more...
Can't agree completely. It is like saying, making tea with just water, or just tea bag. You need both. In order to give da'wa to non-academics, your approach, attitude is sufficient, but to give da'wa to academic people you definitely need logic. Today's most academic debates are peaceful, hence logic must be presented. But also with a mind that unlike many, you're not using ego to win the argument.
Correct, that's the amazing part. This man did NOT know cosmology and yet the Quran describes scientific phenomena that (centuries later) men like Edwin Hubble theorized in a mathematically complete formula. Since the prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, could not have come up with this theory, he must have been told this information by a higher power.
constructive DIALOGUE based on mutual respect of the truth and of humanity Muslims need to be proactive in delivering the message of Islam in the same way as before delivering a slice of bread to the hungry they will need the loaf to begin with, but how many muslims know how to bake a loaf yet alone know about how to live by the Quran to be constructive in their lives and communicate Islam to their immediate family and the community at large? NOT MANY you can count them by the hand
You can imagine ANYTHING YOU LIKE! ! But that does not make it necessary as an explanation for a whole universe. For that sort expplanation gods are superfluous!
The problem is that even if you have credibility, that doesn't dispel all doubt of what you have to say. You need to substantiate claims made with evidence and that's irrespective of any credibility. It is the arguments that really matter.
We cannot definitively prove that there is or is not a God. All we can do is look for evidence that merely suggests that either God is real or imaginary. The burden of proof is not on either belief because neither belief is substantially more logical than the other when we break our beliefs down to the fundamental reasons we hold them. The evidence Ahmed Mahmood was offering, that merely suggests that Islam may be correct, is the verses of the Quran that are consistent with scientific discovery.
"A man at 570 CE hypothesizing the Big Bang, the continued expansion of the universe..." Did this man know about quantum mechanics??? The expansion of the universe was discovered by Edwin Hubble. Not by this man who was a desert dweller.
