Absolutly great track, I love it. Congratulations from La Isla. One thing is having the most fancy hardware/software around, but other thing is having sense of musicality, what is obvius you got it in industrial quantities ;))))))
ohh, fine work with this old machine QY 10. I have one just like it und work also with QY 100. And I love the hard snare drum of QY 10, it´s much better than QY 100.
Nice track... How would you rate the QY-10? I've been interested in one of those for a while but its almost impossible to listen to anything about this machines that is not pre-2010. Cheers!
+Philip+ Thanks! it depends on what you're looking for. If you want the real 90s cheap sound this one is a must have. :) If you're looking for a retro pocket sequencer, you should have a look at the QY-70 or the QY-100. They're much more user-friendly.
+yukimizake Big thanks for your quick reply. I was planning to use one as a main sequencer/music sketcher... Perhaps the QY70 or 100 will fit my bill better, then. Cheers!
+FILML4D4N Still a little bit on the fence between either the 10 or the 70... I guess it all comes up to the value for buck I'll get on e-bay. They both seem to fit my purpose for them: give me a rhythm track and accompaniment to get me started writing, then be able to record the MIDI to somewhere else were I can do arrangements and produce a score to play and record (and eventually using the QY's sequencer as a backing track). Cheers!
Great track, like to see use of the qy10 (although I only use it to sequence other units). I can't work out how to extend note length in step mode - any advice you can give?
OK - I will have a play around. There is something in the manual about it but I cant get it to work! Subscribed to your channel a while ago + added you on Soundcloud : )
thanks for the advice, is it the Gate value that you adjust for the note length when scrolling right in the text row? Had a play and the maximum in step edit gate for song seems to be 99 which equates to a full beat. To get it any longer though the only way I can seem to do it is through the song edit menu 'ins' option where the gate value can be set much higher for a note e.g. 396 to make a note last a whole bar. Seems a long process tho...
