Un manuel assez complet est disponible ici theguitar-blog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Building-the-balalaika.pdf c'est à partir de ça que j'ai construit ma balalaïka. La mécanique étant introuvable, j'ai dû adapter une mécanique de guitare électrique. Et si c'était à refaire je ferais aussi le manche un peu plus fin, je ne sais pas si c'est gênant pour jouer car je ne sais pas jouer mais ce serait plus élégant. Sinon, satisfaction garantie, dès que la table d'harmonie est posée, elle sonne vraiment bien, comme... une balalaïka. Si vous avez des questions spécifiques, n'hésitez pas à me contacter.

Merci, je possède déjà ce document... ;-) Pour ce qui est des mécaniques, il me semble avoir vu que l'on pouvait en trouver aux USA. J'approfondirai au moment venu....

Hi Bernadette, it's not very difficult but there are some things essential to get right before starting. Very importantly the building platform (0:20 on the video) and especially the metallic arc onto which the ribs are going to rest. Basically each rib is going to be clamped (it use some very convenient plastic clamps you can see on the video for that) and glued to the transom on one end and the shoulder block on the other one then, since it's going to rest onto the metallic arc in between, it will need to curve. Now it is recommended to pre-shape a bit the ribs so they assemble without too much stress. To do that, I simply used an iron with the steam (visible at 1:44 on the table in the back) since the ribs are thin and flexible, the iron manages to shape them and they appear to keep the shape nicely. So you cut the rib, try to clamp it, shape it, try again, reshape, etc... Once you're happy with the shape you bezel the side with a plane and glue + clamp it in place. Thin beech ribs are easy to shape with an iron and some steam, the hardest is to assemble the ribs so there remain absolutely no gap between them. Bonjour et merci pour le commentaire, c'est très sympa. Je vais regarder quelles cordes j'ai prises mais dans mon souvenir c'était relativement basique. Les 2 cordes en mi sont en nylon, il me semble que j'ai pris 2 cordes de sol de chez Savarez et pour la corde en la, c'est une corde de mi en acier (0.011" à 0.013"). Si je retrouve la pochette avec les cordes de rechange, je vous donnerais la référence exacte.
