"For a long time we've been considering an artist collaboration with Susanne Sundfør, and the final anniversary show of NRK Lydverket turned out to be the ideal time and place.
Initially, we thought about performing a pure cover version, but the chemistry and vibes between the three of us was out of the ordinary, which led us to put together a new track from scratch. The song Running To The Sea was written and recorded in two days, just in time for the TV-performance.
Susanne possesses a unique combination of distinctiveness and international talent, unique far beyond the borders of Norway. In addition, she has insightful knowledge on cooking inside a pit dug out of the ground.
Susanne delivered gold on her first vocal take. We still asked her to do another 58 though. These were never used, however, having these unused vocal takes available created an atmosphere of luxury in the studio."

My wife Sheri loved this song. As she was dying from breast cancer, she wanted out of the hospital to see one final sunset over our farm. I took her home. And then she peacefully died. I miss you Sheridan. Every day.

I remember the night my mother died in hospice, it was 2015 Christmas night at about 11pm, I was watching some video and in the video some angel came from the light. I knew at that moment when the phone rang she had passed away. I remember the long drive home , and this song came up and started playing when I got home. I will always remember my mom, and this special song was so moving at the time. The tears flowed, and I was filled with peace knowing she was no longer suffering, I will always be thankful for Susanne and Royksopp for such a beautiful masterpiece.

The most beautiful song ever written and performed by Norwegians in English. Röyksopp at its best. Among their numerous female collaborators Ms. Sundfør stands out above the others. Susanne Sundførs voice on this track is angelic as if floating vividly above the thumping and twitching rhythm and orchestrations. Mixed in with the melancholic lyrics this song finds its form as a brilliant electronica masterpiece.

My second favorite artist from Norway... Aurora and her have such a unique voice, deep and amazing that their voices sound alike either live or recorded and that is true artist to me.. Not to forget that this is real piece of art, these people are just amazing and real... They don't need to ruin their voice like artists now at days... They sing it peaceful, such believable.. Listen up. I think this song should have a cinematic music video to go along with it. This song is amazing in every way and it's telling a story, a deep, mysterious story that is left up to the imagination of the listener to play out. I REALLY want to know how Royksopp feels about this song and what they feel it shows. I want THEIR perspective via cinematic music video. Not to impede on my imagination of the song, but simply for perspective. Please thumbs this up so they can see this and hopefully make it a reality because I KNOW I'm not the only person that has thought about this.

Meridius White This song is a memorial for the 2011 mass murder in Norway by Anders Behring Breivik who killed 77 young people attending a summer camp on a tiny little island. Now you can imagine that those people were trapped on a tiny little island and a person with a automatic gun in his hand, chasing them down and killing them one by one. How horrible is that. People are running every direction and many to the sea to save their lives. The guy even standing on cliffs and shooting at them in the sea one by one. Probabely you´ve noticed that the audiences do not dance on the stage. Because probably many of them know the history behind this song.

I'll never understand European audiences. They behave as if dancing is a crime. Such a PERFECT song to dance to. I guess that's the reason why bands, singers, and artists in general fall in love with Brazilian audiences.

I still remember when I sneaked this lovely song into the aerobatic display mix of the Aerosparx formation flight team in their first year. Their first show was in Finland and this was the second song of the performance. Absolutely magical when the music finishes and they crossed each other on the final turn towards the public. What a song!
