If you play ranged champ into garen you run exhaust and he cant kill you. Or the problem is you aren't beating him early and allowing him to scale for free

Not sure what champs you are playing, but in general, you can fight him early and try to keep his passive down. If he stands far away to regen, he’s missing exp. If you trade early, you can build a slow push and get a lvl 3 dive with jg when he’s level 2 without w and half hp. If your jg is not diving, just take the free base and tp back to hold a freeze or harass him under tower and freeze after. He will have to call jg, or take a bad recall, but you can deny minions/exp and then play waves on your timer. Trade around his w. Sit in a bush and he will e the wave and you can engage then. Extend trades, especially if you have armor boots, or item adv, or jg proximity
