Myke spent 5 minutes giving that face and asking about the beats that sounded like Macklemore just to say “I agree”

This album was phenomenal from start to finish. R.A. was definitely on point with this project and he murdered it as always. Y'all should review Ka - Descendants of Cain.

Did anyone notice RA referencing bars from Eyedea and Slug's freestyle from way back. Second verse on The Big Snatch. Lost my shit when I heard it! Album is fire, top 5 album of the year so far. Great review

The reason some of these songs have more of an emotional edge or "Macklemore" vibe is because a portion of the production was handled by a dude named The Jokerr who, more often than not does a more melodic style hip hop. Hes super dope and I recommend yall check his shit out.

I loved every track besides maybe 2 or 3. Very solid album, and his lyricism is above most. He will smack anyone around lyrically these days. His flow switch ups were crazy too.

Lord Jamar (on their public conversation on facebook) complimented R.A. that he remembers about all the little things that makes Hip-Hop classics like scretches, samples, skits, features etc. that some of even the old-school rappers forget to put on their new shiet. I think R.A. the Rugged Man is in the same category as MF DOOM (R.I.P.), meaning all the OG's listen and know him to the point that when he was broke Havoc from Mobb Deep gave him beat for free just to let him stand up on his feet. RA got blackballed in 94 and his debut album Night of the Bloody Apes recorded under moniker Crustified Dibbs was shelved by Jive (it was released unofically tho, which made R.A. the guy rappers were listening to, hence why he's respected by so many great rappers from DJ Premier to Method Man), because he did everything in his power to piss off execs, f.e. making ultra explicit, most filthy and disgusting track on his record as a feature with Biggie, when label wanted to put it on the radio, since Biggie's name was poppin' and was sure to attract radio stations :P He was out of luck, because it wasn't right time period for provocateurs (if you call shitting on control pannel "provocational" haha xD), because less than 10 years later most of the stuff that got R.A. blackballed brought fame to Eminem :P PS. Eminem and R.A. don't have a beef - a lot of labels were willing to put up a lot cash for Eminem diss single, but as far as their "relationship" goes they met once in Em's and D12's bus on Marshal Mathers Tour and it was all love coming from all the members from D12 (including Em) who knew his Crustified Dibbs bars by heart. He could have made a lot of dough, but he wasn't willing to sell his artistic integrity. PS2. R.A. said in a video that he never had a boss and all his life he's living off his music plus he can go to shop like a normal person without paparazzi swarming him, so he thinks not getting big like Biggie was blessing in disguise

Jay Electronica's album was expected to be and SHOULD HAVE been as good as this R.A.'s. Both was spitting but we can see the difference. Fans always have expectations. All my Heroes Are Dead is dope asf even after the wait.

The Em beef came from the shared bar between the two that says "vanilla gorilla." Em uses the same wordplay in his song Godzilla. The thing is, RA said "I'm the iller killer vanilla gorilla" on a song called Back on Wax in 2016, way before Godzilla came out. So who really copied whom here?

This album right here is pure artistic quality. There’s nothing that can be said that hasn’t been said already in regards to his pen game. This album is the epitome of beats and rhymes with relevant content. The two posse cuts are stand outs. Every feature guest came to rap and they delivered. The introspective songs were dope too because he still kept it RA without reaching for contemporary radio play and making them sound corny. The only knock on the album is that it’s maybe a little long but because he’s not dropping something every year, it’s not a big deal. Anybody who is a fan of either that throwback 90s boom bap or that contemporary neo boom bap, will definitely love and appreciate this album. Thus far, it’s a top 5 album of 2020, and imo thus far it’s RA’s best album.

I saw him last year and he told the crowd he had an album coming out in 2020. I've been bumping it heavy since it came out. This album is hot 🔥, especially "All Systems Go".

Spot on review, great album only negatives are those couple mackmore beats but R A still sounds hard on them.

I see the Macklemore kind of production thing. It's just super clean, well mixed, everything comes thru clearly, not grimy or anything

Kind of like Immortal Tech, he is even less known definitely because he raps a lot about esoteric and conspiracy type music, but holy shit his vocabulary and breathe control in some songs are just insane,lot of stuff is up to 10 years old. His Lemuria track is crazy good, suggest reading the lyrics in the description of it as you listen(if you do). And yup RA killed it, was good to hear some more from him. Ya I had to come back and edit just to say make sure check him out, he has to atleast be tied for the best in the game ever.

this album is incredible, after replaying it so many times u realize how classic it is, straight beast. wiit amhad, rugged man went from barely being in my top 100 (even though i love legends never die, classic too just not as good as this,) all the way to my top 40 now wit this album. he's even surpassed other rappers who were better than him not too long ago like k dot, tyler, rocky, earl, nipsey etc. amhad is a masterpiece ppl, hear it, it's really that good, 10 outta 10 👌.
