Not a jerk but I really hate people who are buying ps5 (while all ready having one) to sell it with a big profit. That’s one of the reasons so many people still haven’t a ps5.
It’s karma if you ask me. No defense for racism, but scalping a video game console is a very scummy thing to do. You can’t find it anywhere in retail stores but it’s very easy to find for $700 on eBay 2 years after launch date. Honestly online companies like eBay need to ban the sale of new electronics in mass quantities.
@@UnlimitedEmeralds honestly the whole situation with the Karen probably wouldn't have happened had he left it alone guy got what was coming to him for being such a bastard and scalping a PS5 that that kid probably could have instead of this f***** who's reselling it
True, but she was being hypocritical. Either way, what they both did was mentally retarded and should have just calmed the situation like the adults they are.
Cheating is cheating regardless of the reason. It doesn't make it in the right because she was cheated on first, ESPECIALLY if they are going to try to fix things.
No it's karma for scalping a PS5. Man already had one and so he bought this one with the intention of making money off of it total piece of s*** guy got what was coming to him.
Story4: Get a lawyer and divorce papers because she’s cheating physically and likely emotionally as well. That was a lot of active untrustworthy actions to lie about to boot.
Story 1: While I do agree that OP was the victim to that Karen's racial slurs, I do think he's in the wrong for buying a PS5 WHILE HE ALREADY OWNED ONE and admitted that he wanted to sell it for profit! Sure, his money his decision, but that kind of behavior is exactly why it's next to impossible for people to get PS5's nowadays. The Karen's definitely worse, though. She gets told "no" and immediately started being racist.
I’ve got a great story for y’all. So I was at a mall training my new autism service dog when one of those weird sales people starts to follow me and my mom around. He starts to practically beg me and my mom to buy his weird product. I point out that I’m busy and training my dog. He had a really strong Mexican accent and tries to ask what dog she is. She was a yellow lab Dudley mix, but me and my mom got an idea. We told the guy that she’s a pit bull. He started to freak out and ran the other way!
The guy with the dirty apartment - sounds like he has a hoarding/mental health issue. A lot of folks with MH need significant therapy because they just do not see how dirty things are. I agree with asking him to hire a cleaning company. He may be super resistant, depending on how bad his anxiety/hoarding/MH is. Definitely don't blame the GF. I couldn't be with someone who lived like that. But regularly hiring cleaners can make that a non-issue....if he's willing.
In the first story both the op and the Karen are jerks. The Karen for obvious reasons but also the op because they said he already owns a ps5 and is only buying this one to "make money", which implies they plan to sell it again at a higher price. While this is not illegal it does make it harder for people with limited funds like me to get these consoles
Yeah they’re both the asshole, 1. Because he’s scalping PS5s and 2. He didn’t seem to consider how pressing charges could wind the kid up in the foster system or very very traumatized by seeing his mom go to jail while also possibly leaving him completely alone. And I can’t blame the kid for having a tantrum his mom obviously raised him to be like that. Anyways I wouldn’t have pressed charges I’d rather just the guy and cop have shown the kid why she’s weong
I’m sorry but that last one with the intervention was hilarious. It’s like once he got all that off his chest, he was able to get clean. 😂😂😂. The “butthole belly button” and the mom running with her arms straight down almost took me out. 🤣😂🤣😂😭😩🤣
(Story 1) The Karen being racist is horrible, there's no way to justify that and I'm glad it got taken care off. However, let's not act like OP wasn't about to scalp a PS5. Ofc the Karen was the asshole in this specific situation, again, racism is unjustifiable and she deserved what she got. But OP also deserves to be called out for the scalping he planned to do.
Story about the pin number: I have severe anxiety from being abused as a kid and an adult. Sometimes it really kicks in and I blank on numbers: birthday, pin, phone anything. The harder I of try to think the worse it is. I have to walk away and destress for a long time to even read my notes that I carefully keep just to protect against this kind of situation. Lol!
It’s not just you I work retail and nearly every third customer don’t remember their own pin and have to check notes or call their partners for the pin. So never feel bad about not remembering it.
I have some memory issues from some gead injuries. It's not as bad as it could be, but annoying and unsettling when I reach for info and there's a blank there. I also work retail and people forget their info all the time.
Story 3: Both are Jerks, the boyfriend for cheating multiple times, and the OP for instead of dumping the boyfriend, or forgive him and try to solution things, like it looked like after the boyfriend said he was sorry, instead, she cheated on him because "I WAnt HiM tO FeEl WhAT I FeelEd" and now the relationship that could very hardly be saved is just totally destroyed now. Final Story: you're not a jerk, but you are a bit naive, usually the things that appear in the TV don't work, so I hope that the OP's brother stops using substances
i agree should have just broke up with him but he cheated multiple times i dont think he deserves to get another relationship with her and %100 no right to complain about her cheating like that
Story 5: There could be multiple reasons other than his not wanting to clean, he could be a hoarder or he could be depressed (people can hide depression well to a certain extent). The op should talk to the bf to see what going on but 9 times out of 10 he might need therapy,
The last story yeah I agree that it is hilarious with how they handled it. But still it's the thought of it and at least a good thing came from it. And I also agree in that hopes the brother keeps the wadda-call-it going.
@@Alwaysonhots-bu6lu because he's a scalper. He bought a gaming system he didnt' need just so he could resell it to some other poor soul for even more.
@@Alwaysonhots-bu6lu what is it with every moron on this site calling people bruh? Of course you would side with the scalper. People like that make me sick and should be arrested or at the very least black listed from stores and sites. Its disgusting to rip people off because you can't be bothered to get a job.
*Story 1:* It's crazy how *"entitled"* karen parents get when they don't get what they want. Although OP paid for the PS5 with your own money, this karen *demands* you just give it to her for her son, and gets physical when you refuse. It's a good thing you had witnesses to support your story.
I worked at a Walmart for 5 years I'm not surprised by any of this and I definitely would have had that dude's back had I been working the electronic section when that shit went down
If I was the OP and the karen insist to get my ps5 for her kid I would've just ask her "rather than you trying hard to get a ps5 for your kid why not you force him to study and earn good grades instead?"
i swear every time i listen to these storys all i can think is i wish this would happen to me lol u tell me were u can get that kinda entertainment for free lol
WRT the disgusting apartment. Confession time, although I'm NOT the partner described in this story, with very great shame I will say that my apartment was once a mess. Nowhere near as bad as the OP described, but way beyond even what I knew was acceptable. I had started taking steps to rectify this: throwing stuff in bags to be thrown out, etc, but then was left away from my apartment for an extended period due to health issues. Tthankfully my family and friends handled the remaining cleanup (I am forever grateful to them), and have strived to keep it just as clean since. They weren't too hard on me, as my attempt to start the cleaning process was obvious, but they did express an understandable concern that I had let it get that far in the first place, which I could only acknowledge. So I would not blame OP at all for anything they do in this situation. I was ashamed at the state of my place, but their SO doesn't seem to be. To be clear: I never let food or anything go to rot or leave stuff on the stove. My kitchen was the one area I kept reasonably tidy, even if overcrowded. Dishes were done and appliances cleaned regularly. My issue was letting boxes/packaging accumulate. Again, I acknowledge this is awful.
When I lived with my ex-fiance, he and his teenage daughter would let the bathroom and kitchen get so disgusting. The kitchen regularly had smelly, moldy and rotting food left in dishes and pots and pans. We ended up with fruit flies on more than one occasion. Because I have disabilities and couldn't do the cleaning myself as the kitchen wasn't accessible for me, but I hired cleaning people a couple of times. It didn't make a lasting difference and I ended up having to move out due to this and other major issues. Having your house get a little messy at times is normal, but living situations that is unsanitary isn't normal. Ironically I come from a family of extreme hoarders, like what you see on TV.
Story 3 - F*** how HE feels about it. He cheated on you multiple times, it doesn't matter how He feels about you doing it to him. Yes, you shouldn't have gone that route either (because of how You'd feel after, not him) but he still deserved it. Story 4 - tell her pack her shit and get out. She definitely cheated.
@@atoandalis no I listened to the full story, that Karen had no standing to take the PS5 and being a racist piece of garbage, but scalpers are jerks as well. It's just facts.
@@atoandalis I understand where you're coming from, I've just seen people buying multiple consoles for the purpose of selling them at a higher price while working in retail. I'll admit I have a major bias against scalping. Though I think we can both agree that racism is way worse.
Thank god I had no issues when getting my PS5 I’m just glad it safe at home and wish nothing but best of luck to the folks still looking for their PS5s.
From someone born and raised in NH, we're pretty chill, not many racists or anti-lgbt but there are still some assholes that linger here and there. I've only ever encountered a homophobe once and im 23
He's not the jerk for the reasons he brought up, but he is the jerk from a different perspective of buying something he claims he has no use for and wants to sell to make a profit. I hate people who buy things they don't really need when demand is low and sell them back at a profit after price gouging it out beyond fair of MSRP. Being a scalper is not a good thing to do, and honestly, you could've just SOLD it to the "karen" and her kid in question after getting it so you can make some lame return of $200-300 or maybe some g's if you could've hustled them.
For story 1 he’s not a jerk bc one time I was at Walmart and I love in a military town there’s a lot of dependents I was in the game section and I had my work clothes on and she said “SIR” I turned my head and took my earbud out she said Um sir can you please leave the game section your to old and I said excuse me she repeated what she said I said well ma’am ur son is to young to play grand theft auto 5 and I’m so sorry your husband spends his time at sharkys gentleman’s club and not at home with ur stanking ass kids
First story... Never ever ever tell someone near a store that you just got the last of something. I got it over there... Then run like hell for the exit. Especially if it's electronics, or the it toy for that Christmas. Just take it straight home. Finish your shopping after it's safely secured at home, and you are sure nobody followed you home. Never go straight home if you scored something valuable. 👵☮️🖖
yeah in my state (utah) after so incidence involving violent they don't even let you purchase ps5 at the stores anymore you have to purchase them online. so no idea how this guy found one out in the wild
Story 1: good on the OP for standing up for himself and not telling the Karen and her spoiled brat of a child get your recently paid PS5. After the racial slurs, it was all down hill for the Karen and she was arrested. The Walmart employee also stood up for him and witnessed everything. Hope that 50$ tip the OP gave him was worth it. Story 2: Jeez, I'm willing to bet that card the woman had wasn't even hers. She was sketchy and the OP didn't fall for her BC. Story 3: Two wrongs don't make a right and this relationship is very much over. That is all. Story 4: The OP should probably ask the neighbor who saw the car if anything happened and try to get some evidence just to see what really happened. Story 5: gross, I would never stay with someone who doesn't clean their house or apartment. The OP needs to ask her bf if he could get a clean service to come and do a deep clean of it. If he doesn't want to or he thinks it's too much money then leave him or ask him to live with the OP. Story 6: I guess the intervention kind of worked but not like in HIMYM. Glad the OP's brother is clean and hopefully stay that way. I bet it was hilarious for everyone there.
For story one I would see if she would buy the console off of me but for a higher price and I would make the price more and more the more racist she gets lol
3rd one just confuses me so much. from the first time that dude cheated, this was over. Cheating on him did nothing good whatsoever and i think its time to realise this is totally done
Part-Mexican here, I know Mexicans (or part-Mexicans and El Salvadoreans) who play video games. What gave this Karen in the first story the impression that not a single Mexican plays video games??
as a ps5 owner for almost a year, idc how racist, homophobic, sexist, ageist, or whatever phobic a person is being, and idc how nice a person is being, I would fight for my ps5 cuz even tho I had it for almost a year, it was actual hell to obtain, these Karen's have no idea how difficult people fight to have 1
I can relate to that 2nd story lady, this thing have happened to me too once, I have had 4-5 cards in my ilfe and I didn't remember my pin first time when I got my first card, it was bit embarrassing if I been honest
First story As someone who lives in a small New Hampshire town I’ve had a couple Karen’s, nothing really major or worth posting though so that proves it can happen anywhere
