What's even worse about 7:33 is that, besides blaming the design engineer, design prospects like this usually pass by multiple people\departments for approval and NOBODY thought this was going to be an issue...
Yeah. As someone who took classes in this field before, images like this bring back nightmares. I've heard horror stories that you'd _think_ were made up, but were horrifyingly true. Like the story of someone that thought their headphone jack was the charging port on their laptop.
Not gonna lie, that creepy-ass Pikachu at 5:49 looks like the statue's creator actually started off their project trying to create a Charmander and then around half-way (or over half-way) through the project they were informed they were recreating the wrong Pokemon, and so this was their best attempt at course-correcting.
Pikagon - an Electric/Dragon Type. It’s reptilian species underwent genetic modification to look like Pikachu to lure in it’s prey, It’s full powered shock is rumored to be enough to paralyze an adult human.
Nobody will probably see this but Lexi is honestly my inspiration to be myself and love life despite having disabilities Edit: lots of people saw this…
I will never get tired of emkay videos, especially when Lexi narrates, they are my background music when I'm busy and the first videos I watch when I'm sitting down to relax. I can't explain why.
I Respect, love, and support you for who you are! The fact that you have the ability to overcome a tough obstacle, AND be comfortable coming out as who you truly are is amazing! Dont let anyone take your happiness from you! Sincerely~ A Kind Stranger from the internet who supports you fully! ❤️
What's the overall compilation of ailments? I've been casually watching for 3 years and every few months there's a new thing Lexi claims. Bad knees, has to use a cane/mobility issues, bad vision and... what else? It's the type of person my mother would call a 'hot mess'. Usually happens to nice people. They get all the health defects while scumbags tend to live a near-flawless life.
I just wanted to share my experience on crappy desings. It was a sign in a museum, and it was about what was supposed to be put in the lockers. It read something like "Leave this in the locker", and under that were like 5 images of things, THAT WERE CROSSED. Like, just decide if I have to leave my jacket there or not!
1:25 that's technically correct because the red suns are the coldest ones while the blue ones are the hottest ones. ultraviolet has more energy than infrared. the reason why we have labeled the red collours as hot and the blue collours as cold is because in the past people didn't know physics so they assosiated the hot collours with the collours of the sun and fire while the cold collours with the collours of the sea sky and snow.
It seems to psychologically ingrained at this point, red painted rooms often give a warm feeling, whereas blue painted rooms give a fresh breezy feeling.
7:02 I work in the theatrical industry. Most electrical distros for controlling lights have red as on. The reason for this is because it denotes that a system is "hot"
4:00 On Extra You're Money From Missing Under Out Armour Is supposed to be You're missing out on extra money from under armour. Suggestion: Swap the left part and the right, add extra padding between them, put a (opaque) line between them, and make the text more opaque (85% - 100% is recommended). Edit:Nvm, Lexi solved it.
They probably opened a word document and copy pasted some images from the net and went: "I didn't know it was that easy to make an advert! Who needs those expensive designers?" then proceeds to add wordart and ruin it completely.
I used to live in an apartment with a smoke detector on the ceiling right next to the stove, so if you accidentally cooked something too long, the alarm went off.
11:56 the design on the shirt reads as follows: "austin texas 1839, its cool like that!" this design was confusing at first but its really just the three way spilt between the sentances lol have a nice day emkay team!
Fun fact about Spring Green Wisconsin thing. I was learning Graphic Design for two years. Every time I tried to tie in the letters like they did with Spring Green (or what was asked for with Green and Wisconsin), I was told by *everyone over me* that people *can't read it.* Not that it isn't a nice look, or it *might* be misread. No. Humans apparently *can't read it.* Which tells me one of two things. Either I'm not human, or the older generation of graphic designers have something wrong with them.
Weather icon made me laugh - especially when I saw the temperatures. That's Celsius so around 3-5 F for you yanks. Though Kamloops does get hot enough to fry an egg at times.
10:30-Flooring installer here! YES, I HATE THESE THINGS WITH A PASSION! THEY'VE BEEN MAKING THEM THAT WAY SINCE 2008 AND IT HAS NOT CHANGED! I don't even bother with the sticker anymore and just use a bead of adhesive caulk to glue it down. It takes thirty seconds and gets better results than messing with the tape. Also using actual adhesive ensures it's going to hold instead of fiddling around with the tape, which isn't even guaranteed to stick once the seal is off! XD
0:37 well im definitely not losing my mind over the fact my small city nobodys ever heard of (unless you live here, or around the area) is in this video. but the fact its an egg at -14C sums up just how random shit is here 😂😂
I believe the Texas bag actually is suppose to say “Austin Texas 1838, It’s cool like that” it’s not actually meant to be read together. At least I think, based on the bolding of Austin Texas 1839
The bag at 11:57 is supposed to say "Texas: It's Like, That Cool." I have absolutely no idea why they decided to position it like that, but you're welcome.
9:15 that type of indication is complete crap when the arrows don't grab your attention. I got maintenance out to my apartment twice because of a similar issue. Warm and Cool were at opposite sides of the dial with a super tiny arrow pointing away from the word for the temperature. So if you moved the dial towards the word "warm" you were actually making it cold if you thought the icon in front of the word was a hyphen.... which the arrow was so small that at a glance, it looked like a hyphen.
omg at 1:29 at my school they have those clocks everywhere and its so annoying just tryna annoy your day and BAM a confusing clock that can't stay the same
The father's day card at 4:28 might make sense to the designer. They might not know that letters are sounds in English as a great fraction of written Japanese uses ideographs called kanji. Japanese uses hiragana and katakana, syllabaries where each letter is a few sounds, for loan words and words for which the writer doesn't know the kanji or suspects the reader may not know the kanji.
I mean, they do know that the letters make sounds. English is a subject in Japanese schools and they don't learn it through katakana only. It is more likely the designer felt that the symmetry was more important.
2:25, someone get the expert of all things Cursed Minecraft (PheonixSC) to see this. He is researching what it means to be laved... This is a piece of the puzzle. Mayhaps he has some insight.
0:43 I think the way the text is written, it should've been top left-corner of the ..now Pentagon.. and the corner of the triangles are ripped that once looked like a triangle but now is a Pentagon.
11:57 austin texas its cool like that 1839 yes this bag ignores hierarchy (large to small) left to right top to bottom it is completely wrong however my favorite iteration is 1839 texas its austin like that cool
4:52 "Spring Green" is a city, "Wisconsin" is the state, I haven't been there in some time but I do believe yes the "Spring Green" bit with the leaf is the town 'logo' so to speak. As this mug is probably a bit of a tourist item, Lexi is right to assume the state name was added separately.
0:20 when I worked at Abercrombie, we had a hoodie and I kept looking it like "... wtf is 'rombie &'?" Turns out, it says "aberc" up the tight arm, "rombie &" on the chest, and "fitch" on the left arm. To whomever thought that was a good design: no.
The one that looks like a bar code says "MIX. MATCH. & MAKE MERRY" in the tallest font I have ever seen someone actually use. It does resemble a poorly made bar code, though. Terrible design; it definitely belongs in this r/!
For crappy design: there is a new poster on each lamp post at the entrance tram Road at Disneyland were one of them says Matterhorn bobsleds with the opening date set as 1955 as it was literally opened in 1959
One of the best jokesters I knew ran a bike shop - the sign was cut neatly 1/3rd down and flipped to say "Yes, We are Closed" and "Sorry, we are Open."
Whatever mall used Donkey Kong’s Smash Bros Ultimate picture (without changing it), and a picture of PAC Man on that Directory sign at 3:15 are definitely gonna get sued by Nintendo and Namco. Hopefully they changed the sign, and if they didn’t, get ready to get sued.
Let's ALL face it... Lexi is the best! I love Robin and Jack too, don't get me wrong, but Lexi is so awesome! To me, she's the funniest and most down to Earth. So relatable!
@@rpggirl017 That's not how it works. You can't choose to be something that you aren't. I was born with XX chromosomes, a vagina, and my body produces estrogen. Of course I'm a woman then. I can't change that, and nobody else can change their gender/sex. It's all in their head if they think that they can.
