I actually went to the YMCA as an after-school program from ages 6-11 and the staff would encourage the "normal" kids to stay away from me because I'm autistic. I think they thought I would be a horrible role model for them.
@@ruanaur If you believe every autistic person is a fucking idiot and therefor kids shouldn't learn from then and behave that way, that does make sense, however, that's not necessarily the truth Most of us are semi-functional human beings who just need some help getting around, in exchange for our unique ability to see the world differently and create a plain of existence on our minds. And even then, the "stupid" ones aren't necessarily stupid, rather misunderstood. They're not "dumb" because their brains are unable to understand their surroundings, rather they are just confused and don't know what's going on, because the world can be overwhelming at times. In that case, those individuals belong in a proper environment until they're ready and have learned to cope with life.

"Paper firmware updates" is a joke I share with my sister, and I keep seeing HTML-embeds printed _straight_ onto paper. Gonna have to include video playback, alongside copy+paste and ctrl+f when that new update for paper finally drops.

The thing is, in French, the saying "ce n'est pas en option" (it's not optional) is a common way to say that something is mandatory. I think they mistranslated the French saying, therefore sending the exact opposite message.
