I so wanted to go to this concert, but I had to work. I was living in northern NY just across the St. Lawrence from Ontario, a few hour’s drive from Toronto. Less than three months later, free access to Canada would be a thing of the past after 9-11.

Came down there on my lunch break from King and Jarvis. Being a small dude, I weaseled my way past Shuter, kinda close.. ish. Great show. One of those Toronto memories, cuz everyone was nice... and standing dead still ;)

This was an awesome concert, I was there and then saw them again in Dublin in 2002 (I think or maybe 2003?) I still tell people about the version of “end of the world” loved it 👌👍

I live10 mins away. Saw them in concert as early as the 80's at the masonic temple 888 Yonge street. which is also about a 10 min walk from where they did this. This was an epic day. I can see my condo in the background

The guy at the end cracks me up. Michael Stipe tosses him the mic for last chorus of the last song of the encore, their most rollicking anthem. The crowd is going nuts but he politely checks first: "Would you like me to sing?"
