Maybe unpopular opinion I really loved that purple highlight on you and that made me wanna go out and buy it, but i love a funky colorful highlighter and don’t have a purple one yet!
I am not the right demographic for this brand. The name throws me, too. REM, to me, will always be one of the best bands of all time. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
well, she has a song titled R.E.M and in definition it means 'rapid eye movement', a period of sleep that is very deep, during which your EYES and muscles make many small movements. so i don't understand why you're making a deal out of it.
@@amaliaramadhanita643 The woman that made the comment is likely aware. R.E.M is an internationally known music group that formed in 1980. And they were named after rapid eye movement. Unless you’re in your 40s or older you likely wouldn’t understand the comment. I also think the same of this brand’s name…I immediately think of the 80s music group.

loved your review morgan! Although I'm into this eyeshadow color story, the packaging and the formula just don't make up for it. I got particularly interested in those highlighters, but I also feel there are other shifty ones similar to that in the market that are more blinding, like the kaleidos ones, or even a few from colourpop. The formula on those from rem seems a bit special though.... hahhaha my feelings are all over the place rn

The purple highlighter! I kinda love it 😀 Colourpop/Sol came out with a purple highlighter with their orchid pallete and I want it 💜 this collection is a little cheap looking though.

Great honest review. These colors -purples- look great in you and you made it all work.There’s just too many products out there that aren’t so hard to work with at a cheaper cost. I think you’d have to be a big fan to buy just for the name. Hopefully they take feedback and work on better formulas. I always think new brands should not release so many products at once right out the gate.
Thank you for the video Morgan! Maybe the eyeshadows aren't the best but you managed to create a very pretty look with that palette. Also on camera the highlighters show up nice but not blinding. The gold one looked really good. I'd pass on the purple. I want that on my eyes not my cheeks.
i want to see the purple one on top of a highlighter like a topper since it’s more color and less shine and i also would love to know what it looks like on top of a glassy highlighter and if it’s still looks glassy after or ruins it

How do these highlighters compare to Colourpop's super shock highlighters? I was really interested in this purple highlighter, but I'm wary if it's more glittery like the super shock highlighters.
Would the highlighter in purple be good for a dance ? I have a dark blue dress and was thinking of doing a purple/dark blue duochrome eyeshadow and was thinking of doing a fun highlighter!
This was the first celebrity makeup line I ever bought because I love Ariana so I was excited (despite the crappy looking packaging). To say I was disappointed was an understatement. The lengthening mascara flaked immediately and is probably one of the worst I’ve ever used. The highlighter (miss Saturn) gave me the same effect as my 5 dollar kiko highlight. And the worst was the liquid eye shadow in experiment. It began burning my eye lids after about 15 min of wear. I had to remove it in the bathroom of the restaurant I was at. Im trying to get a refund but honestly I’m not holding my breath.

The "highlighter" isn't a shiny, reflective product - it's strange 🥴. It isn't bad or anything, it's just strange. Love the mascara and blackness of the liner. Everything else is pretty forgettable. I appreciate that you used these products extensively. As much as "first time using" reviews are great, I think I prefer this type of review. You've used items in different ways over a period of time. I feel they are much more thorough and informative, especially useful when critiquing a new brand. Much love and many thanks, ☃️☃️💞💞💞💞☃️☃️

I feel exactly the same way! I will not buy celebrity owned makeup brands. Fenty to me is not high quality, it is mostly marketing. Those products can be in a drug store or a section in Ulta. No artistry or innovation all marketing.
It may be a small thing but I hate when they shape the cover of packaging with something domish.. makes them really hard to organise or stack or wtv your setting is.
As much as I like Ariana Grande, this is definitely not my makeup vibe at all. The packaging and the products themselves just seem so child-like. I guess I’m not the demographic, although I thought her super fans were mostly teens/early 20s and not kids/tweens. Point is, the aesthetic, to echo a couple others, reminds me of Claire’s makeup or Bonne Bell from the early 2000s. Your look is pretty though!
Lots of celebrities with makeup and skincare these days. Fenty is the only one I liked so far, wasn't a fan of Kylie cosmetics and Victoria Beckham is so expensive. I like the packaging of REM , I might get one or two things to try out
I appreciate that you try to see the + on products but this line looks like crap lol 😂 for $24 colorpop has better pigmentation, color story, and packaging. I mentioned this on Patty’s review on REM but this looks like the bonnebell/Claire’s stuff I messed with at 12. Also I’m having 2009 flashbacks when all celebs jumped on the perfume bandwagon 🤣🤣 guess now it’s makeup
If people love it then it’s great for them to each her own - but personally dislike the packaging intensely. (I think the lipgloss looks like a tampon.). Also Michael Stipe of REM has way edgier eyeliner than this brand. 😂😂
I really prefer the reviews after the influencer has had a chance to use them for a while. First impressions are good, but the true test of makeup is wear time. Personally, there are so many professional makeup artists with their own line of makeup that I would expect (and have found) to be good that I skip the celebrity launches. Seems more like you’re buying because of the celebrity than the quality. Just my opinion.
The eyeshadow palette looks beautiful inside although not my preferred color story. I do really like the 2nd silvery shimmer color and I think you did an awesome look with the given colors but the component low key looks like a soap dish lmao
