Mike & Michael have done some wonderful harmonies over the years. and to think Michael didn't want Mike in the band when they met because he was a bit pissed! okay, maybe quite bit. great voice combo.

I don't get it -- Stipe is moving all around in front of that microphone; you'd think his volume would be all over the place, but it's very steady. Was this dubbed? I remember how steadfast against lip-syncing he was at the time, so I don't know what to think.
No dubbing (watch Bill Berry's drums, can't fake that...); the mics are "room microphones" that are picking up the sound from the whole room (which is why you can hear Peter's guitar and Bill's drums). Remember, this was a open chapel with AMAZING acoustics!
