Could not stop crying when Ringo sang this in the concert ' Tribute to George ' and George's photograph was enlarged at the back of the stage. To all the dislikes.. you are thick.
This song speaks to ANYONE who has lost anyone, and that means all of us. Who do you have to get used to not having around? Love them still, and they won't forget you either.
A seriously emotional ballad and I still love it 46 years later. Nothing like The Beatles & also their solo careers. Ringo had some great hits in his solo run.
"Photograph" is a song by English musician Ringo Starr that was released as the lead single from his 1973 album Ringo. Starr co-wrote the song with George Harrison, his former bandmate from the Beatles. Although the two of them collaborated on other compositions, it is the only song officially credited to the pair.
ever notice anyone singing about spirituality or god or anything rewarding...not so much today, George was a special guy. I didnt too think much until he was gone... and yeah life is a bit colder.
Without a doubt one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded by anyone. Such a massively talented pair of artists. RIP George, the world is a much colder place without you. This song reminds me of long lost friends and family.
" RIP George, the world is a much colder place without you. " I disagree....in the sense that.... RIP George, the world is a much warmer place because of you. :)
@@1kwhalley When you look at it from that sense, you're right. I guess you can look at it in both ways. It's colder in the sense that we miss him, but it's warmer because we'll always have his music to lift us up when we hear it.
I love Ringo. I was born in '55, always loved Ringo.Nice guy, great voice. Best actor of the quartet. Musicianship: don't know, everyone says he's great. Had some serious health problems , I was told. Missed out a lot of schooling, they say. Invented some weird expressions( tomorrow never knows). He was and is my favourite Beatle.
I am still crying for this in 2019...65 and not gonna forget...these guys did everything and they did it better than anyone. if you are more than 15 years old you probably gonna get this song we all have had that loss before we expected it.......like Eli says below, this is masterpiece and btw there aren't many of them.
A beautiful song an tribute to my one of heroes George. On a more personal note, it is a tribute to my Dad who died a year ago this week. Plus the. Many others I have lost. Now all I have are the memories an photographs.
Yes memories.i as well lost my mom in april my sister last week.its kind of surreal but have to keep moving on even when it hurts.so cheers to life while we have it.good luck and God speed.
I’ve never been a die hard Beatles fan, (I’m more of an Elvis fan) though I’ve purchased a few of the greatest hits albums. I’ve only recently heard this song and I have to say, it’s just brilliant. I saw a clip of Ringo singing this song to which he said, George helped him write it. This clip with the pics of him and George just makes the song even better.
1973: this remains one of my essential songs. For Debbie, for whom all I do have left is a photograph, and with whom I so wanted to grow old and gray. Be at peace, darlin'. Ringo and George and Richard Perry made a great record and a deserved #1 here in the US. Be at peace, George.
All songs of Beatles are nice and beautiful, I have nothing to say but they are the part of my teenage days, almost everyday I heard their never ending music that does not fade until today, I love Beatles💕💕💕
I love this song. These guys were great friends through it all. I always loved George. He was my first crush. I was 12 and that was 55 years ago. He was attractive all through his life. His big brown eyes and beautiful brown hair was gorgeous no matter what style, and he had many. RIP George. I love and miss you. ❤️🌹❤️
When you thing about it the George H and Eric C influences are so strong. With Ringo Starr (Richard Starkie) just delighting in filling in the bits left to him, which he does so well.
These two wrote this song. sadly when we listen to this we think of the loved ones we all had lost. but in all reality, we love lost one of the truly best bands of that era ,,
An amazing song. I think George and Ringo had a very deep friendship. I believe it was George who first pushed for the Beatles to recruit Ringo into the band during their Liverpool and Hamburg days. There was a lot of mutual professional respect between those two as evidenced with how much they had each other play on their solo albums.
I'll add my Kudos; great images w/ the perfect song. What comes through in the pictures is the genuine love shared between them, brings tears to the eyes. Thanks for posting.
Alway my fav Ringo came out with this song takes make be back to 13 years old ....its a sweet wonderful song & as. I age i can Pray RIP...to all who have gone to stars over the sky God. BLESS YOU& RINGO .. & TAKE CARE..AMEN
Beatle Ringo likely felt that it was time to salute nostalgia as he entered 1973, and why not? "Please Please Me," the classic début LP from the Beatles, was turning ten. How did those four fellows change the world so much in just one decade? Remarkable!
It was John's band. But after Brain's death Paul taked the Band's wheel. And George was best musicians of the 4 of them.... and Ringo wasn't even the best drummer of the Beatles
Looks like George and Ringo were good mates. George said " here's a song I wrote Ringo, you might like to record it and have a number 1 hit with it. Oh, thanks George, said Ringo, it's a beautiful yet sad song.
Long live ringo, God bless George, the two were such amazing friends and I'm sure ringo had George on his mind 💯 percent souring the song photograph, yes I truly realize he's not coming back anymore, long life in heaven with God and John, and someday, Paul, Ringo and the entire Beatles, sons, daughters, and the whole family, rest in peace george, John and all God's deserving servents. Amen.
