I feel this is one of Freddie's most beautiful vocals. Really the only training he had was on piano in boarding school. I could listen to him and Queen all day long. Thank you for giving Freddie another reaction!
His voice is unparalleled. Freddie was too sick for a video for this song which Dave Clark produced. His solo work is underappreciated and this may be my favorite of them all. I don’t know if he had gotten his diagnosis or if Dave Clark knew about it at this point, but it’s eerie that it sounds like a farewell song he was so much more than just a singer with this song, he was the force of nature and a kind human being come out without question the best, Brock performer of all time
Freddie wasn’t formally trained as a musician or singer. And Brian said that when Freddie joined the band he was a great performer but his voice wasn’t consistent. The first time Freddie heard a recording of his own voice he was very disappointed and went into the studio for hours day after day to hone his craft. Finally he was satisfied and felt he was ready to record. By the way, this song is from a musical called Time and written by Dave Clark. When Clark wanted to record the album version of the musical he asked Freddie to record this song. There’s an interview of them talking about the recoding process together. Clark would later say people warned him that Freddie was a perfectionist and recording with him might be difficult but he thought it would be an interesting experience and he said it turned out to be a beautiful experience. They became great friends and Clark was one of the people who was there on a regular basis when Freddie was very sick.
Check out Freddie Mercury singing Time Waits for Nobody--from the musical Time written by Dave Clark--vocals taken from an old rehearsal demo with new piano added and released in 2019. Another great song sung by Freddie is One Year of Love written by John Deacon for the sound track for the movie Highlander.
This is one of my very favorite songs of theirs! I’m so happy you reacted to it! And I agree with everything you have to say, he was so incredibly talented. We lost a great one! If you haven’t already listened/reacted to, I highly suggest queen “ let me in your arms again”, “Too Much Love Will Kill”, and “ time waits for no one”.
Thank you so much for playing my suggestion, and for your great reaction and comments. It's one of my favourites. Can I suggest that when you play Queen you include the words 'Queen official' in the search, as this video was a fan made one. It was a shame as the interjections sometimes hid the words and changed the feel of the song, particularly the poignant ending. Thanks again.
There will never be another Freddie Mercury!!!! some of Queen's greatest hits you may want to react to: Bohemian Rhapsody (1977) We Will Rock You (1977) Killer Queen (1974) Crazy Little Thing Called Love (1980) Under Pressure (1981) Another One Bites The Dust (1980) We Are The Champions (1977) Somebody To Love (1976)
Beautiful song written by Dave Clark (best known as the drummer for The Dave Clark Band) Jeff Daniels (actor from Dumb & Dumber) and David Soames for the 1986 musical TIME. 🌠 ⏳ IMO, Freddie’s best vocals!! Check out HOLD ON, a collaboration with female vocalist Jo Dare & Freddie! Both stunning vocals! Wow! 😮
He was unimaginable. His voice was a gift from God,that thankfully he shared with us. He gave us all he had right to his dying days. Will never forget you Freddie Mercury!!
😘 I get all emotional when I listen to this song. No one could ever sing it like Freddie did. Best vocals 🥰 Love this and the other video made for this heart felt song. TY. Great reaction ✌🏼
Freddie had the most unique voice so those who say he could t sing are tone deaf and ignorant. Even if they aren’t a queen fan you don’t slag other bands off. Keep your opinion 🤐 Freddie was loved by millions not many have that effect on fans.
