Proctor was so essential to the show...from getting info on the inside...to covering up many crimes...to choosing Ghost over his own family and profession...he was loyal to a fault. No more inside Intel for Ghost...this may be very bad!

Proctor was a dead man the minute he became ghost and Tommy’s lawyer.

Proctor was always loyal

All the times Proctor THOUGHT Tommy was gonna kill him he was always scared shitless. But the final time when Tommy ACTUALLY Was about to Kill him.........he put his head up high and didn't give Tommy the satisfaction of having his FEAR Like he always got all those other times before. Kind of a Fuck You to Tommy on the way out instead of going out like a grovelling coward. For THAT Alone..........I'm PROUD Of Joe Proctor. RIP.

I don’t like how the show wrote off Proctor. Proctor had three strikes that lead to his death but the three strikes were not consistent with his character. Strike 1: Proctor allowed Saxe to outwit him. Saxe played mind games with Proctor by telling him that he will lose his daughter to his ex. This put Proctor in a state of panic. I feel like the Proctor I know would never allow Saxe to beat him in psychological warfare. Strike 2: Proctor plots Lindsay’s death which I also felt was out of character to me. Being in a state of paranoia after speaking to Saxe, Proctor puts to together an intricate scheme that involves him lying about dating an assistant and sending a fake exam failure notice in order to get Lindsay snorting again. This misstep gave Saxe more leverage once he heard the recording. Strike 3: Proctor snitched on Tommy. Being desperate after hearing the recording, Proctor snitched on Tommy in order to protect himself and his daughter. This decision lead to his death. Once again, this doesn’t seem like something Proctor would do. Proctor is usually clever and would’ve figured a way out of this without snitching. This all started because Proctor was outsmarted by Saxe which never happened before. I feel like the show got lazy when it came to how they sent off Proctor.

Rest in power heaven joe.

His death is THE best scene in the entire series for me. I have watched it so many times since Sunday. He went out standing! Gonna miss him and his smartass comments. Y’all are dropping all my favorite characters this season. How is Saxe still alive is my question?

To me, Proctor's death was the saddest on Power this season, even sadder than Lakeisha Grant....Proctor was loyal, manipulative but he still remained loyal. He got both Ghost and Tommy out of many situations and always had your back. When Tommy killed Proctor I felt that it was a low blow to the show. Wished they would have kept Procotor to the end of the season. He was a true Day 1...Rest in peace Joseph Proctor.

Jerry Ferrara, you did an excellent job with this character. Proctor will be missed. It would have been more interesting and exciting if he stayed until the end. What made this character so great was that he wasn't a criminal defense attorney but he was very clever with his instincts and tactics.

I think his death was the saddest of the entire season he tried his best to help ghost and Tommy but the feds got to him through his daughter and all he was going was protecting family
