@@yourtrunkrattles4398 you can read The 50th Law written by 50cent and Robert Greene all these lessons came from there. If you got problems with women read Iceberg Slim’s Pimp and Naked Soul, they give you the best advice.
But as you can see kanan also stopped depending on raq and start becoming his own man once he figured out his family had been lying to him. Same shit we saw with tariq
That chess game they played meant way more than what people thought. Chess in general is about being strategic and smart but their analysis on it was so much deeper I love it
@@ignaciomiguelloyolapineda9779 yes, i believe (sort of) on a deep sense like The Wire with all of the pieces playing a part, and each piece’s overall importance to the game/story. Deep sense in terms of we often see the character of Kanan playing chess, in prison, alone before he killed his son Shawn, vs Tariq, etc. Him playing chess i think is showing that he is not only 1 step,, but several steps ahead of the competition. And overall super smart and STRATEGIC about how he conducts things. Definitely several steps ahead of the competition in terms of revenge,, especially against Ghost. Moral of the story, I perceive it as he has played (and won) the ultimate long game against Ghost/James in taking tariq from him and actually molding him into the son Kanan has always wanted… as opposed to the straight son that James St. Patrick desired (which Tariq was this perfect son… on the surface., wearing a mask, same as Ghost did wearing the mask of James).
Kanans revenge/plan at getting back at ghost was turning Tariq down a bad path a path which eventually ended up in ghost getting killed. Kanan calculated this shit on a whole other level
Ppl don’t understand this and it irks me because that means ppl didn’t pay attention💯tariq taking out his old man was bound to happen💀 him going down dis route was bound to happen
@@OneShotGamingg nah i think Kanan taught him too much cause had love for him & it worked against him but that body is on tariq & Tasha not ghost went couldn’t outsmart kanan tariq was the son kanan always wanted & it also reminded himself of him when he was little cause he wanted to be in the life just like his mom
@@carlosbash8925 i feel like ghost could outsmart kanan. The problem came with thinking kanan would put everything behind him like ghost was trying to do based on their previous love and friendship. Only reason k wasn’t takin off the board was because ghost genuinely loved him. Which later was used against him. Ghost also was blinded by that love and didn’t realize he was going against the same guy that taught him what he knew. He should have known kanan would come out with motive to take everything he earned but love once again made him oblivious. Bout time he realized it was too late. He son was corrupted with the help of ghost lying to him all the time of course.
@@mobb8394 bro him not being able to fucking fight by now pisses me off😂😂😂. Like I get it I get it he moves mostly w| his mind but cmon now look at the bad asses you had around you. You wanted to be apart of the life so bad but Yeen learn to protect yaself yet🤦🏾♂️
50 playing Kanan is literally like 50 in “Get Rich or Die Tryin” but with a little more experience and spice. Which says Kanan had some traits that 50 really had/has in real life and it ain’t all the bad ones. Kanan grew up being smart but also cold af and loyal. Loyal to the game.
50 cent basically played himself in this show the same way he basically played himself in his other show For Life as Cassius Dawkins. Just a finesser, hustler and moving by any means necessary easily one of my favorite characters
you could tell Kanan was genuine with Tariq, like i know the original plan was to kill Tariq, but he started to see himself inside of Tariq (PAUSE!) & once that started to concur with what was going on in Tariq & Kanan’s current situation, Kanan actually saw him as the son he always wanted, just how i believe Shawn was the son Ghost always wanted, (Shielded from the life, good moral kid,)
@@Atalaia56yea I noticed that too. That’s why Shawn spared James and Kanan spared Tariq. But the reverse was true too. Kanan killed Shawn and Tariq killed James. Kanan and James situations mirrored each other but were just in reverse
Actually Kanan was academically intelligent but stupid asf when it came to the streets at least from season 1. He must’ve gone through a lot of development.
@@eerroottaa Tariq didn’t make as many mistakes as Kanan tho. Like Kanan wasn’t that experienced in making coke and he decided to sell his coke and killed a lot of ppl. He also couldn’t kill his dad properly. He even killed Buck 20 in broad day light 😂.
@@samueli7759 Tariq didn’t make as many mistakes because he had Kanan to teach him the game lol doesn’t change the fact that Kanan saw himself in Tariq cause he was literally the same way as well
Kanan's original plan was to use Tariq to get even with Ghost but instead ended up loving him. Kanan loving Tariq was his weakness that Tariq used against him.
@@Wavesofdave and kanan felt like Shawn was more of ghost son than his, seeing how kanan did what raq asked him to do by shooting that cop, he was expecting Shawn to do what he asked him to do with ghost and when he failed him he ended up killing him. Juke asked kanan what did ghost really take from him, it was shawn and that’s why he groomed tariq, he loved him so much he killed his own cousin to save him. And the only reason he didn’t kill tariq after he shot those cops is because he knew tariq would kill ghost in the end. His attachment to him and teaching him the street life drove ghost insane and end the end kanan raised that lil nigga well enough to get the ultimate revenge on ghost that he didn’t see coming at all
“ This fucking 20 is fake, how you supposed to be out there moving weight for me and you getting beat for the money, shit you hustling backwards we losing money” 😂😂😂😂 dude I hate 50 cent 😂😭
😂 exactly and tariq still dont see it but his dad did but imagine when tariq has a kid and power fast foward to a grown riq and he either goes to jail or ends up dead
yh everyone seems to think that ghost is this innocent noble character who “just wanted to get out of the drug game” and whilst that maybe true that doesn’t excuse the fact that he must’ve killed like 50 people throughout the whole show and also was an indirect factor that led to his own daughter’s death and his son killing him. people seem to think all that shit was tariq when in fact tariq made that shit happen cus of his resentment to ghost
after watching power book 3 raising kanan, it doesn't seem like kanan manipulating him only for the sake of getting back at ghost. he also saw himself in tariq, thats why he didn't kill tariq even after he betrayed him. kanan leaving tariq alive was a plot hole in the story until raising kanan. but i still wonder how the power universe would play out if tariq died, ghost would be on demon time since both his kids died.
highly doubt it, i reckon ghost would’ve moved on with his life and forgotten about tasha and his other daughter especially if u looked at how fucked up in the head he was in season 6
Power really did have a soap opera feel to it but most kanan scenes have that RAW vibe to it , like how the wire had that raw vibe too. Kanans show raising kanan has that whole vibe . That’s why I feel it’s the best power and honestly the best show 50 has out there
Kanan originally wanted to and used him but down the line he grew on him, it’s a part of Kanan in Tariq what we seeing is Tariq realizing he has to also play the game like his Dad also !
Honestly watching how Kanan grew up in the Spinoff RK made me appreciate his story in Season 1 of Power even more , his basically the beginning of Tommy and Ghost
Kanan: “Ghost be gone before we think of running and shih”!☠️🤣 What a dialogue! This really told you the development of the street name Ghost! Really hope they show this in real detail for Book 3 🙏🏽
Kanan taught him everything about the drug game and the streets but he absorbed his dad whether he like it or not.. he move more like ghost than kanan💯
Kanan: What classes are you taking in school? Tariq: biology philosophy precal Italian history and economics. Kanan: Exactly they ain’t teaching you the shit that I’m doing. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@dripdrip2920 he did like him but in the beginning he was using tariq to get back at his dad bc he knew tariq was green. then he started to care and love for him as his own son that’s why he was teaching him street knowledge and how to move. He looked at Tariq as a son like Ghost looked at Shaun as a son.
@@dripdrip2920 nah he did that’s why he couldn’t kill tariq that’s what he wanted in Shaun and that’s what ghost wanted in tariq that’s why kanan said to ghost the moment I killed him he was your snob
I felt like he didnt kill Tariq at the end...because he saw something in him that he didnt see in himself. He wanted to smoke Tariq but he cared enough to spare him.Since he didnt spare his son..he spared Tariq .Everybody he loved and cared about is dead so he went to join them
See, everybody thinks that it was Tariq that killed Ghost. But in reality, it was Kanan the whole time he was there he always been there, even when you think you've won you lost. CheckMate!
Yea but his mom really did not show him love she killed his best friend for trying to ride for the family and also tried to make him kill a cop she was almost as ruthless as kanan was
@@JuggheadJones and tbh I don’t think she would’ve had to do all that If he stayed in a child’s place and went to school . His mom shouldn’t have made him do that but at the same time he put himself in that position to be played like as a pawn when he was determined to be down .
I feel like in a way…Kanan knew that the only way to best Ghost, the assumed ULTIMATE, yet still not the highest power but something esteemed, that he’d have to shape and mold the mind of something or someone he knew JSP couldn’t kill. His son.
Kanan Tariq pops watch and see. He taught him the game just like his mom taught him and if he killed jukebox for him and let him live when Riq set him up when the 12’s kilt Kanon say a lot. Kanon shot his pops and Riq just like his dad lol Kanon. It’s sound far fetch but I’m calling it now. Thts why Tasha wanted ghost too off him asap and you can have twins wit to different fathers.
Hear me out what if kanan let tariq live only because seeing how scared tariq was in the car reminded him of how scared he was when he shot detective Howard. Notice kanan’s true journey began when he shot a cop and it ended the same way only this time he was hit multiple times.
Joyner Lucas is so dope. I can't stop watching this track again and again. I am sure he will be #1 soon due to A u t h e n t i c V i e w s D o a t C o a m
He teach laws and street Physics on how to survive a shark world of life. It was the game he was teaching it was the jewels 💎 making sure he don’t get crush under pressure
Not going to lie we should have seen this coming from Tariq cause I’m rewatching power and back in season 2 he was already feeling some type of way cause the stopped spending time together that’s why he was so attach to Shawn and when he died he just switched to Kanan.
