My own brother died that same day. and Merle is still my favorite character on the show. You can only imagine how much I cried on that episode when I saw it just a few days late.

I miss Merle Dixon the most of all the ones who died. I think he was the best actor TWD ever had. His subtle facial expressions were Unreal. So good. There was so much more that coulda happened with him, the potential was unlimited. He's the anti-good guy, in fact he was pretty much a cunt, yet he LOVED Darryl and would do ANYTHING for his bro. He was even changing cause of his bro. Guys like that always gets me.

They made a mistake getting rid of him

The scene with Merle and Hershel was freaking awesome. That quote from the bible (even if you believe in God or not) was perfect for Merle's condition from the beginning to his end. Everything Daryl related like Merle's tragic death made our hearts melt hard, He was misunderstood as an enemy, Went from enemy turned friend, from losing his hand to risking his life to killing the Governor that is a what a true ally is. RIP Merle Dixon 😞😢😭

This death probably had the most impact on me thus far. Especially after having grown attached to Merle after I had played Survival Instinct which I had played before I saw season three. It was unfair how Merle was never really accepted into the group which was all he really wanted after the Woodsbury incident because that was where his brother chose to stay. To make matters worse everyone except for Daryl and Mishone looked at him as a monster and the man to do all the dirty work.

Great video for the greatest character. The audio was a bit off though. Keep them in the same ear, or at least more level

They killed off my favorite characters Shane, then Merle and then The Governor. I watched for 2 and a half seasons more, I was a zombie for that show watching something I didn't even like anymore and finally my brain turned on and I stopped watching. For example look at Howard Stern he lost Billy West, then Jackie The Jokeman, then K.C. then Stuttering John over pay and fired Artie that was the last straw. This show ridded itself of its top talent, I don't care if they are following the book or not but the characters that kept me watching were all killed off so they lost me as a viewer and I know I'm not the only one that feels this way. They also lost many writers from the 1st 3 seasons.

God this kills me. It's so easy to forget about characters that have died but when you remember it hurts so much. Merle shouldn't have died. I honestly forgot about the fact that Daryl had a brother
