I was 11 when he was sold to Notts Forest. Cried my eyes out then and shed a tear today. RIP Legend 😞

Absolutely gutted. Only 69 years old, no age these days. I am too young to remember Trevor Francis in action, but my grandad adored him and always told me stories of him. This is a really sad day for our great club. Rip Francis, icon.

I lived in a Council House by the Rover as a kid so we had plenty of trips up to the old training ground to see our heroes , I have a bunch of programs with Trev's autograph , he was only 3 years older than me , my first real Hero . I was there for the famous 4 goals against Bolton & all his home games during his time at Blues , what a shock & saddening day for us Blues fans RIP Super Boy Trevor Francis .

Still not sunk in that he is gone. A true legend of a man,football. He was Blues through and through. He deserves all the acolades and any future tribute.

Newcastle fan here! Stopped me in my tracks when i heard that yesterday! Wonderful footballer, i was 18 when he got that header for Forest in the European Cup final... Also 2 goals against a very good French team in the 82 World Cup but my lasting memory of him will be in a Birmingham shirt( Great chunk of White down the middle of blue) horrendous sideburns, that weren't the worse in that Birmingham side and gliding across a quagmire of a St.Andrews pitch to score some fantastic solo goals that marked him out as a rare talent, destined for greater things!!! Another part of my childhood gone! R.I.P Trevor....Sad Mag...
