R&B singer R. Kelly will appear in federal court in Brooklyn court next month to face new sex crime charges. Federal prosecutors in Illinois and New York have charged the musician with a combined 18 counts including child pornography. Kelly is accused of sexually exploiting women and girls over more than two decades. He has denied all allegations. Kelly is being held in a Chicago jail without bond. His crisis manager, Darrell Johnson, joins “CBS This Morning” to discuss Kelly’s mental state and whether or not he believes he will be acquitted.

I really like this guy. I find him to be extremely professional and sympathetic to the issues at hand. He takes his time to speak to the Savages even though they bombarded his press conference. He answers questions honestly, even though it may not make his client look better. Darrell is there to do a job and he does his job. Lying is not a part of his job and I for one, am glad he is not up there lying. Would you leave your child with R Kelly? Are you completely nuts? I love how he answered that question and I fully support this man.

He's a "crisis manager." Even if lying is not a part of his job, he has an implied duty to portray his client in the best light. He could have used a better choice of words. The damage has already been done because this interview gave the impression to the public that even R. Kelly's own team is turning on him. This man did not do his job as a "crisis manager." If he wanted a platform to speak on how he really felt, he was in the wrong profession.

@@jgmommy2815 well he has to. That's his job. I guess it could be possible for him to double dip. But Greenberg seems like a smart guy. I believe he would have had him sign contracts that would prohibit him from double dipping. If you allow him to double dip, you risk the chance of loosing control of the narrative. Which I cant see Greenberg doing by accident. Think about it, if your hiring a guy to do a job, don't you want control? So I guess the real question is whether or not Greenberg is double dipping..... One thing I never understood is that CBS seems to have been given preference to these interviews. This appears to have been done on purpose. I agree with you that some one is being paid big $$$ for these interviews. I just don't believe its the publicist. All in all, I think this relationship with CBS was a mistake. I think R kelly should have been able to control which question's could be asked. Gayle should not have been able to ask " Have you had sex with any one under the age of 17". Before this so called "Crisis Manager" resigned a few hours ago from this case..i wish he would have revealed the nature of his relationship with R Kelly. His lawyer confirmed Darell is not on the legal team and maybe offering spiritual guidance to R Kelly but he nor the legal team knows him personally nor could confirm his comments to the media as accurate. I think this man from R Kellys camp. He is very unprofessional.
