Im a huge Hill Country Freak, since the first time I listened to RL Burnside, Junior Kimbrough and Robert Wolfman Belfour. To me, the versions of Old Black Mattie, Peaches and Going Down South are the most raw, powerful and electric versions RL ever recorded !! They are hypnotic, sexy and they have so much power and energy !! Thank you for this uploads, saludos from South América - Bolivia !!
I love he’s music. I remember hearing he’s music on a radio station when I was fourteen years old, the song was don’t you let my baby ride. I have all he’s songs on my playlist and along with John lee Hookers tracks. Love the blues. ❤️😇🇦🇺🌟
As Bill Withers instructed the audience during a sing-along on his 1972 Carnegie Hall live album, it's not pronounced, "MUST -- I -- HOLLER?" It's sung, "Mussi-Holla, Mussi-Shaak-'Em-On-Down!" I'm sure he got his inspiration from RL.
Awesome!! All his albums are epic 4 me the last 25yrs thankful I got to hear him in Detroit at Majestic upstairs stage around '98 Ass Pocket of Whiskey tour! At the time I was senior in Detroit art school had studio in the school would blast RL.. Jack White was also at the school then and no doubt at that concert he took a lot from RL and others and attacks some of us still lol.. RL the REAL DEAL
Fat Possum Records keeping it fn real! Being a guitar player myself, when you find the right source of influence you take that and add it to other inspiration. That's what you use to create your own style by incorporating them. And by saying that when I listen to this Legend, I hear The Black Crowes I hear Jack White, Humble Pie and that is only a few. But you can tell where these guys Drew their inspiration from. Amazing album!
I can see David dancing to the tabernacle to praise God almighty with the very first hit of those strings.. And We can see God almighty dancing along😂😂😂🎉.
Walking down a Mississippi dirt road with a guitar in my hand going back to the Delta where the blues began. My family calls me lazy they say I'm no good but I was born a blue's player is all I got in my head. Some say I'm crazy some say get a job man. I got two hands a working they are working real hard I'm playing the blues for a radio station down in the Delta tonight I'm going to play the blue's on and on. The devil has got me this time there is no doubt. The devil blue's will over take you there down were the fire must be put out. You may think I'm crazy or no good I'm just a man from Clarksville Mississippi playing the Delta blues is all I can give.
