You can even see it flex it's muscles while it's walking. That is some amazing engineering. And the pupetmaster controling it should have an oscar. What a performance.
I saw the show walking with dinosaurs the arena with dinos like this and it was really cool. The legs and the motorised units underneath the dinos can be a little distracting at times, but it was still a masterstroke in creativity.
Well, yea. I understand that. This is one of the most marvelous opportunities to understand dinosaur locomotion. But, so much of the puppeteer's lower body shows. I've seen better baby T-Rex puppet suits from the Walking With Dinosaurs exhibition. Wow. I can't believe I just wrote that; "Some live-action baby Tyrannosaurus puppets are better than others"? What an age we live in.
One thing I can't get out of my head: If someone used digital technology to erase the actor's legs, this would look absolutely perfect for a movie. I mean, the same thing was done in Pan's Labyrinth, I think.
