same. R. Stevie Moore does a good job making songs about feeling inadequate socially. or being secretly in love with people who are socially competent, which happens a lot to me. And of being too much in your head, and wondering if you're missing out even when you're having fun alone making music with your instruments or doing something else on your own. "You go on out, You go on out and have a ball". Like protest music for the awkward and introverted. it's kind of like he is giving the listener permission to be a "loser", at least that's how i feel, being kind of a loser. I really want to write him fanmail but can't find an address

@@somejunk7477 Yep I think that's part of it for sure; he sings about being his own person who doesn't fit the mold. My favorite line is something like "go on without me, I've got enough to do RIGHT HERE" I'm a farmer and there are always things to be done on farmstead, but people are constantly going out to do consumer/petty BS I'd just rather be productive.
