This is great because it allows you to discern the notes more easily. Wagner was the first to truly implement the augmented triad, a few years before LIszt and long before the later Russian experimenters. He certainly had a large brain.
coldironhands1: An augmented triad is a chord structure comprising two major 3rds stacked on one another, e.g. C + E + G#. It has a very distinctive quality, and is often a subset of other 'spooky' chords, e.g. the final chord of 'The Pink Panther'. Magical music, such as 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' exploits them. Unlike major and minor chords, the augmented chord is its own inversion; being less 'grounded', in isolation it has a more 'floaty' sound. E.g. C major = C+E+G. Invert the chord by putting E in the bass, giving E+G+C, whereas an E major chord is E+G#+B - a different combination! With augmented chords: C+E+G#, invert the chord to E+G#+C and this is the same as the augmented chord on E (allowing for respellings...) The octave has been split into three equal parts. Hope that answers sufficiently. :)
Virtuosi BH: Yes... but in Baroque music it usually resolves itself pretty quickly and is contained within a clear tonality. Take E+G#+C in A minor: the C quickly descends to a B (dominant resolution) or the G# rises to a A (tonic resolution). Wagner dwells on the sonority much longer and doesn't resolve it so easily, thus losing the clear sense of tonality and challenging the stable reference points of major/minor.
Carles Marín, lo tuyo... No tiene calificativo posible. No hay palabra que describa esta maravilla. Un abrazo enorme de tu ex alumno del conservatorio de Mislata: Jonathan
WOW!!!!!!! I am in the middle of creating a synth version for this, and boy is this a tough piece! What a talented pianist! My fingers are hurting just watching this. :)
Wow?! Simply amazing! If I didn't know the original composition I'd think this person was just playing experimental music. 😂 Well done! There was no break until the end. Must be a great feeling. Congrats!
I love lead guitar,, Gary Moore and Jimmy Hendrix ,but this is amazing! U can play any kind of music on a pianos 88 keys slow mellow or fast an even rock style beautiful sound 👌
Hola Carles Marín. Pieza muy bonita. ¿Es posible que nos dé la partitura ? Yo estaré muy agradecido. (Soy francés, siento si hay faltas de ortografía) Espero que verá este mensaje !
I got a bargain on a renovated old one from 1914 for $10,000! It's not a grand piano but it's got ivory and ebony keys and sounds amazing! Would probably cost around $35,000 new though.
