Ingo, you've made it very difficult for me to decide whether or not to watch this. For a start I was very pleased when those annoying flag-wavers finally made their exits. I will give it a try.

@@bryangl1 Just focus on Uusitalo, saves you some severe cringing cramps. The world is full of imperfections, sigh.

An outdoor performance, in order to reach what is probably a very large audience, would require mics. They can't be seen from the audience perspective I imagine, and only on the close ups in the video.

Dan Karlström is the helmsman. He has a remarkably distinctive voice and an equally distinctive way of singing the "Hohohe! Jolohe! Hoho! Ho! Ho! " syllables in his song. I have never heard them sung this way and they seem absolutely right. He stands out in a relatively small part .He also seems to develop a character fairly quickly so the helmsman actually has a personality here. I would like to know more about him. The Dutchman's ship entry in Act I is remarkable -especially given the fact it is an outdoor performance. It is one of the more dramatic ones I have seen. There is however, no doubt for me that the best Dutchman crew in Act III is the one in the Joachim Herz film
