I would love a bike with sidecar as extra vehicle it would be great for camping and taking my dog with me! Yes please do more excellent 👍xx love the way you turned your bike at end 😂
You did very well, it took me ages to get used to riding a "chariot". The World of sidecar camping opens up huge possibilities of carrying along all sorts of "luxury" camping items :) Well done
The plan for next years dragon rally is Laine takes the sidecar so we will have luxury glamping this time - I want to be one of those groups that has their own fire going
Hi, thanks for this. I bought a Bonny with a Squire Grand Prix chair as I have a disabled son. I have been riding bikes for 50 years and the damn thing scared the crap out of me so I haven't ridden it all summer. I now know that I need to find a large area to practice and you have given me a boost to get the thing on the road I admire your attitude, ride safe.
Thanks for your comment - they’re terrifying to begin with! Sadly I haven’t been able to continue these lessons but I feel better prepared if the opportunity presents itself again. Apparently chucking weight in the side car helps with the handling while practicing but also repetition to build muscle memory is the key. Good luck! I’m sure once it clicks it’ll feel great 😊
That was very interesting! I've never ridden a sidecar or ridden in one, but if money was no object I'd really rather like a Ural. Watching the video it was apparent that the front end moves around quite a bit but you seemed to get used to it quite quickly.
Great video Liz, keep at it if you can I ran an outfit for many years, it's great fun when you get used to it. Nothing like riding a solo bike and nothing like driving a car. It's very satisfying when you learn to drive it well.
I think it’s another one of those skills that’ll feel so rewarding to improve at - I’ll have another go and hopefully get out of the carpark next time onto some quiet roads
Well done you. That is a heavy bike my one is I think 230 kg and it hasn’t got a side car but has got a lot of grunt. It’s so forgiving you can pull away in any gear. Can’t wait to see you on the road with it. Proper girl power. 👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣🤗💜
He's not slow on that thing, I had trouble keeping with him on my sv when we went to go look at a racing sidecar. Would definitely love to see more of you on that beast, great video btw
Interesting never seen anyone do their first sidecar driving on a big bike. My first ever riding / driving on a bike was a sidecar I was about seven or eight.
Hi Liz loving the video’s, I had a Vincent Rapide fitted with a Stieb bullet sidecar, I did 5 miles on a Saturday and then done a 150 mile classic bike run with it, I loved it and felt more confident on it more than a solo, if you’re real keen there is a book by Rod Young called 3 wheels better or 3WB all about riding a outfit and it’s excellent, he recommends riding it without any ballast as it will learn you how to handle it when the chair flys as they call it( sidecar wheel lifts) and that way you can handle it quicker, if you want to borrow it drop me a message an I will post it to you, and keep the videos coming.
Very cool and unique video. I have always wanted a sidecar for my bike so I could take my dog along for rides with me. I rather naively always thought it would be really simple to do but I am second guessing myself after watching this, do you have any advice or recommendations for a novice such as myself?
Very interesting video. A riding friend of mine is putting a sidecar and reverse kit on his Harley this winter. He is having mobility issues and the weight/ balance of Harley is causing issues, we are getting older.
