I packed lighter than some, but I was freezing for the first couple of nights! (I did the VIP Thursday thing). I also had 5G signal up on the hill. Unfortunately, as soon as I tried to use it it changed to E which I can only assume means Extremely slow. I blame the robots in the sky. I saw the Vodafone HQ just down the road. You'd think as a matter of pride they'd have sorted something.
First steps ever were farmers’ fields in Norfolk on a friend’s dad’s Honda 50 when I was a teen. It was a highlight of my life! Rode a bit of mountain track in Southern France on my 1973 Honda CL125 one day til I got a short and smoke was billowing out from under the seat! Home was all downhill so I rode back in neutral. Then got a Svartpilen a few months ago and did a country track a bit like yours but more undulating here in Dorset and loved it. I want to do more but haven’t looked for them…I guess they’re on maps somewhere.
Great vid Liz ... I started off-road as a kid and I'm now so tempted to go full circle and give it another crack. Pizza for breakfast is a green flag ... but with olives?!?!
looks like you had a great time and pushed yourself, bet you're really pleased you did. Sadly couldn't make it myself, but loved the video, maybe next year. Hope to see you on the platform one day speaking about you're adventures 😊
Was my first time on the Bridgestone. Did come off but was a gentle one! Also had a lesson on the sunday. Was freezing at night!!! Otherwise was brill. I was just finishing at 2pm on the Sunday also! P.s didnt know the trails went into the main road. Got lost😂
How you finding the tenere? Remember saying you was worried about it you seemed to do ok, really chuffed for you, building confidence on the dirt.I wasn't able to make it this time looked like a laugh...
The Tenere is fantastic, unfortunately I let my fear of its size get the better of me - even on the lowered one 😅 it’s a bike I’d love to work my way up to - the dream all-rounder that one day I’ll be capable enough to justify having 😌
I prepared for only good weather and if it did start to piss it down I’d have probably packed up and left before it became a mud bath. If rain was in the forecast I’d have packed accordingly and taken Svarty instead. Thankfully in summer at least the forecasts are pretty accurate and there was only mud in places where people could choose to go round it 😌
Wasn't me this time but I took my Tiger behind my motorhome last year so I could take my wife and her son to enjoy the festival. tR1umph Liz is good 👍🏻
Couldn't attend this year due to cancer treatment but I've done the last 3 and despite crashes etc they've all been brilliant. Your video took me right back into it. Cheers Liz 🍻
Excellent fun for you and your dad and brother. One thing I'd like to say is that I couldn't see any litter or rubbish anywhere as you were doing your end of chat.
Hi Liz. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing. I also felt the same when I completed the trail. A massive achievement. I'll practice more for next year. Cheers for now.
Spotted myself in the vid 😅 It was a great event, nice chatting to you for a bit. Everyone was in great spirits chatting and having a great time. Glad you enjoyed getting some off road riding in. Onto ABR 2025!!
