No re shimming needed for these tomei’s. My brother is currently installing keflord cams n he had to re shim & I believe some of the hks cams need re shimming too.

Only driven on weekends and the car has been off the road for over 2 years now.

you have alot to learn about cars.

R33GTST Oz tomei doesn’t make drop in cams for a 25 that big. 256 you can drop in without having to change the springs. Anything bigger like the pro cams you’ll need machining. Try cam tech or kelford cams. You’ll have to get a spring upgrade with it too.

Personally the 25 head is okay for what it is. You won’t get much in terms of sound (lumpy) out of it. If you’re under 500 stock head is okay for what it is. Over 500 go for the cams.

@@benwan5425 yeah twin plate kits can “rattle” when the clutch pedal is depressed due to the floating intermediate plate. The benefits of a twin plate is double the clamping pressure for high horsepower cars. The downsides are very small window of clutch engagement and the rattling noise.

Exedy carbon r triple plate. It had a gtx35 with a 3” exhaust. 6boost Manifold 50mm wastegate (turbosmart )

XAY fn The first sound was the surge tank priming, second sound. That’s the clutch. the rattle is from the thrust bearing contacting the much heavier sprung pressure plates. In other words most clutches with more than 1 disc that are designed for race only applications make that noise because there’s nothing between the plates to quieten it down. There’s quite clutches that are less aggressive & don’t make a lot of noise.
