Saw one of these on a video on RU-vid, that was left in a field after someone from the convention to just dump it. It was a shame.. but seeing a working one gives me hope that they could do a restoration project as 1:1 rebuild..
It's a shame that the arcade market is dead, some things can never be truly replicated with a home version, you will never have the same experience playing at home unless you're rich to have the arcade at home.
The only time I played this game I was tempted to push the big red button but decided to keep playing. I payed 12x the cost of the credit in a standard machine so I decided to continue with the experience. Luckily my stomach was empty 😅
you'd get motion sick in no time.. There's really no way you can get the motion and image to match what your inner ear makes out of it.. hell, even a regular r360 is hard not to get sick
@@stijnvandamme76 You are wrong. Of course you can match the screen pictures with the real state of tilting of the hardware very well. It is a feedback that the computer takes to calculations and can be calculated very well, because the hardware moving with your body has a high mass so the accelerations in every direction are quite low compared to the computer processing speed. It is actually much simplier then handling of the tilting of standard VR headset, because your head can rotate and move with much higher accelerations in every direction as the mass of the VR headset is quite small. So the computer has to be much faster for the standard VR headset than for this device.
When you said "latest victim" I assumed there was going to be an accident. But I've never heard of an accident in one of these, is it just because of strict safety standards and maintenance, even amongst hobbyist owners like this sort of situation?
@@automatedinsanity Yes or some bearing grease. I have to ad that WD40 is a brand nowadays and it also sells oil and grease that you can use. But the original WD40 is a cleaner/moisture remover and it will also remove the grease/oil that protects moving parts.
Can you set it so it doesn't go upside down, but does everything else? I was thinking, man. Sega. They always supported the arcade. Imagine if they were around now what crazy machines they would be making. Sure Sega is still around, sort of. But they couldn't afford super futuristic stuff even if they had the imagination for it.
"720 degree rotation flight simulator." "360° Full Motion Flight Simulator with VR (HTC Vive)." There's more too if you search for 360 flight simulators.
@@arcadealchemist Haha invent stuff, it’s not exactly very easy to come up with something AND successfully market it you know. And yes I do work as many millions of others do, but you still need a fair amount of money to afford a house to put this arcade machine in, especially if you have a family. This guy on the channel seems to live on a farm or have access to one, so has the space.
