R41 vs Beast 

Great shave. The Yaqi Knight's Helmet and slant are both aggressive with blade feel. The Merkur Futur is aggressive with a bit less blade feel than the Yaqi's. All three of those are aggressive razors also.

Hello Hans. I haven't tried an R41 yet but assume I will get to it eventually. I was heading that way but then started enjoying less aggressive razors instead. For example, I had a great shave with a WSC Winning razor tonight and I very much enjoy the mild efficiency. Incidentally, the sound of your children playing was in time with your razor strokes so it almost made me think the razor was making the noise. 😄 Thanks for the video and I hope you have a great day!

Actually while the muhle r41 isn't mild, there's actually more aggressive razors out there .. like the ikon Tek, the Stirling stainless steel hyper aggressive,the yaqi Knight helmet head, etc.. I find the muhle r41 to be a very comfortable shaver when I last used it.. Definitely not a beginner setup However.. I don't have many yaqi things,I don't care for their clones much albeit I'm interested in seeing how the yaqi tile is... The yaqi beast isn't bad at all... another comfortable one and efficient one... Then again I'm recently trying out shavettes as of late and enjoying those as well.. The IBC razor in particular is great, I will try less versatile ones in the near future as well.

The R41 (2013) feels almost mild to me, compared to the YTAS (Yaqi Top Aggressive Slant) and the Ikon Tech. The beast feels much milder to me, but still a step ahead of the R41. I like them all, but with YTAS and Tech you need to be extremely on your toes or it will bite you. Beast is fine, still very efficient but more forgiving than Tech/YTAS.
