What a gem is this amazing lady. A complete musician and, I think, a complete human being. The personification of what a person should be. She teaches us about the inner poise and focus that must come from dedication to kala and learning. Good wishes to her and to this program which is helping so many people with their music endeavors.
Singing the raag in its original form, without the unnecessary embellishments that many classical singers like to add to their renditions. This presentation of the raag is just beautiful.

Even when new alloys were developed in India , they were developed from the point of view of their use in musical instruments not swords & weapons like our foreign invaders & colonizers!

Savni ji ko vandan .... Aap ka rag kalavati bar bar sunne ko man taras jata hei sunkar bahu sukun milta hei man aannandit ho jata hei ... Prabhu se prarthna hei ki aapko or aashirvad de or mere jese kirtan sangit ke rashik jan ko naya rag bandish sun ne ko mile... Jei se rajshani rag mand jo aapne ek foot path bethe kalakar sath sangat kari jini re jini chadriya jini.... Bahut aananad aayo ....
I heard Sawaniji sing just two lines of "Mai ka sajhan bulave..." and caught my self humming that tune. Later I checked the original Sur sangam song and came back here. Without implying any comparison I found Saawniji's rendition superb. Yes, there is a compelling charm in her voice that draws the listener (me in particular) back to her recording from others gold standards!!! Long live Sawaniji!!!

Tarana mostly supports singing the tans .Sawani ji make very live atmodpher as useval the listener involves automaticaly with you.the whole session was very nice there are no words to convey the feelings. great music. Takes to different world. Indian Classical music both Hindustani and Carnatic very scientific and creates unique feeling based on Raaga. This is perhaps most systematic music in the world . After listening to these classical , film music becomes very pale . Thanks for uploading

Kishore kumar used "Sa" "Ga" "Pa" "Ni"( komal) "Dha" notes in the humming as Major chords.But that song is based on Jhinjhoti raga and not Kalavati. This is the beauty of Indian Music. Thank you Mukundji❤❤❤Great rendition Madam Sawaniji❤❤❤

Beautiful raga and rendition of bandish was also . I have composed a song on Lord Saraswathi in this raaga and taught to my students. I like this rag very much.

अभिनंदन । मी एक संगीत वेडा आहे । मी पेटी मास्तर आहे । मी बर्याच लोकांना पेटीची साथ केली आहे पण मला समाधान झाले नाही । कारण मला शास्त्रीय संगीत याचे तेवढे ज्ञान नाही हे मी कबुल करतो । पण मला अशा गायिकेच्या पोटी जन्माला यावे असे वाटते । आणि निर्जीव देवाची पूजा करण्या पेक्षा अशा जीवंत देवीची पूजा करून जीवन सार्थकी लावावे असे वाटते । पण या जन्ममामधये यांचे प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन घ्यावे असे वाटते ।
