Still Game and Rab C top two of my all time favorites. Quite a few characters in Rab C made their name later on in Still Game. Ive watched all of Still Game and Rab C. Last episode of Still Game was somewhat of a tear-jerker...
Let's of cast of still game csme from chewing the fat too in fact jack n Victor appeared in chewing the fat ad I'm sure they wrote most of script too..love chewing the fat..aunty's Brenda n taxi controller 2 of my favourites
I have only seen clips of 'Still Game' but believe it is the crude brother of Rab C Nesbitt. Father Ted is an Irish classic. I used to love the tales of Captain Parahandy starring Gregor Fisher as well!
Rab C Nesbett introduced me to Buckfast Tonic Wine, coincidentally produced by Benedictine monks. The clergy apparently appreciate a wee drop too. Cheers🍻
Yeah I lived near abbot where they made it as a tonight wine very ironic lol ive visited it too bought my friend a bottle as a gift,he had to drink it when his toothachewas so bad painkillers wouldn't worked this certainlydid the trick!!.
I knew a great very good couple who lived next door to me for 25 years.. they were just like Mr and Mrs Nesbitt.. The husband was a slim version of Rab C Nesbitt with the same daft very good hearted way of talking just like the TV version but he was from Glasgow, He was a great person to know, Passed away sadly a few years back.
This isn't the last ever episode of Rab C Nesbitt. There was the special episode with John Sergeant and the 2014 special where Rab becomes a Robin Hood type figure. That's the last episode to date.
Yet another good-to-great episode of Rab C.Nesbitt .Pity they didn't repeat this now,in 2021,on BBC2,isn't it?Far too much political-correctness going on?Far to many snow-flakes around complaining about absolutely nothing? And preaching being self-righteous and holier-than-thou?I,as you might have already guessed,am NOT one of them.John Ewan
I Noticed the music used at 14:30 is also the main tune which is entiled Downtown Motown thats also used for 'Telly Savalas Looks at Aberdeen' at the moment where he says" 'Tanks'...for the memory anymore!".
by the way both comedies are timeless. Communities trying to make the best of their lot because those in power don't care two hoots about the them - viewed as irrelevant and unimportant . Still the same today, if not worse.
Mary Hen is a fine looking Lass and deserves better than Rab. Not that Iam putting myself forward as me and Rab must have been separated at birth! We even share the same Christian name!
@@B-Bigbawz Yep, he tried to claim he was framed as he had been ab**ed and forced into doing stuff which had people feeling sorry for him and his prison sentence was reduced to probation on appeal. After his death however, the Sunday Mail investigated and found proof including videos of him that proved he did exactly what he was accused of and of doing stuff of his own free will
They definitely should, Rab C was fantastic. I remember Only Fools & Horses, Steptoe & Son & Dad's Army etc etc, great social commentary, made with laugh out loud humour. We need comedy we can identify with, not woke politics & preachy series. I'm fed up of how politicised everything has become.
The advert prior to this programme states, "EveryFING starts here...." And we wonder why we have such an illiterate society. Thank God that we can now view Rab C Nesbitt with the aid of subtitles. Maybe the advertisers will take the hint and not the "pish!"
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
The older rab years are absolutely sht unless you're Scottish of course 😉 and stevie guy from river city who has played a druggie in rab c looks exactly the same lol JUST AWFUL
