When my husband and I came to the US we fell in love with Thanksgiving. It's the only holiday that we knew when we could happily invite everyone to our table and each person, from Jews to Christians to our single Muslim friend and even our non religious friends, could seat around a table and thank and bless any G-d they worshipped. My husband even insisted that atheists and agnostics thank the universe for whatever wonderful things had happened to them this year. This is the best gift of America to the world. BH

What a beautiful way to teach us as Jews to be light to the nations. And we should not feel segregated by our faith in HaShem. Hanukkah is a very good opportunity to show what a wonderful God we have . The nations will know that we worship HaShem and that they can do too if we open to them by inviting them to celebrate the festivities of HaShem. Thank you for this teaching.. Shalom and Happy thanksgiving to HaShem for his mercies that he has for us every morning 😇😇😇🙏🏼

Thanksgiving is as religious as the person involved. It really is the most generic and yet the sweetest. Appreciate the teaching.

Dutch Jews also came over later but they weren't welcomed by the settlers until they were forced to accept them. You'd think if Bradford or the separatist would have been happy to see them since they claimed Jewish prayers of belief.
