man, he is SO GOOD, i didn't know he could sing like this, regardless of how the solos were distributed on NSYNC, every time I see each one of them singing nowadays it just shows how that group was made of INSANELY talented guys, honestly all of them are unbelievable talented and that's what made them iconic even nowadays. hopefully we could see them all hit the state together at some point.
Joey had one good solo on I Thought She Knew on the No Strings Attached album, and it is soo pretty. Every time I hear it, I just wished they had really emphasized Joey, Lance, and Chris more. They really did have so much individual talent in that group, and it seems like their management squandered what they had. At least he’s getting recognition for it now.
Aw I got teary at the Temptations. That was part of the medley the guys did on the Celebrity tour which turned out to be their last one. Nostalgia for sure.
I think they all did. To be honest, while Justin is talented, I Don't think he's as the others. Personally I loved JC the most in terms of singing and overall looks with Lance as a close second. Joey danced the best and even had the most charisma plus a wonderful voice. Chris has a soulful voice and is the whole reason NSYNC even existed But I guess the label didn't think the others were hot enough so their skills didn't matter.

@@bluz1864agree!! this is just proof that he could have had an amazing solo career. never heard this style of singing in nsync songs, a lot of the members weren’t able to really to display their full talent
I was sad when Nsync stopped doing music. They were only together for 7 years. Backstreet boys and new kids on the block been together longer than Nsync, and they still doing music. Even when Kevin left the BSB for a while, the group still went on with music. Nsync still could've done the same. JC could've taken over lead since he sings lead anyway. We heard some of the guys sing they can do solo parts.
I’ll never forget my mom guessing him right based off a clue about Florida. She had been living in Orlando for a year and was full of random fun facts about Orlando and Florida. I can’t even remember exactly what the clue was, but she knew it with confidence once she heard it and I was shook when she was right 🤣
What's funny is I watched this performance when it came out... actually I watched the whole season... but coming back to this a few years later having gotten into NSYNC... I'm just wowed by Joey's vocals.

Back here after the VMAs to watch them all again. I knew it was him right away! Can’t believe they said Lance & JC. Hoping for a reunion tour or at least one big show for us all to see! Lance has hinted way too much at a tour for something not to happen + Chris going ‘shush’ at the VMAs. 👍🏼 Move over Justin & JC, Joey needs more solos.
I’ve always prefered BSB than N’Sync. Why? Because in BSB everyone has the change to the solo, and in N’Sync was Justin, later JC and I realized i Heard maybe one time Chris, the rest only at the back. Joey is amazing person and singer, his talent should be more visible cuz he deserves better! Great he has a good touch with the rest of N’Sync and BSB ❤️ I saw him in a few movies and his energy is incredible.
@@escabasket153 completely agree, I got really excited from the first clue video , like “no wayyy…” and once that voice came out I was 100% sure. I called my mom and she was like “who is Joey?” and “what is this show?” lol, but I was so damn happy to see an NSYNC member. He should have won it all. He’s insanely talented, and finally getting his due.
woooow! the clear voice! then raspiness! dance moves and just the presence... oh god N'SYNC missed out. The only time I remember him sing more lines is in 'On the Line' and I love that song! I hope 'My Girl' gets an official single.
Its just sad, because he could have made it to the top 3 or 4, but he decided to sing a slow song on a week where everybody sang high energy songs, and unfortunately the crowd looked the other way.
I feel like Justin only got his solo going because the studio pushed for him to be solo and no one else only because he was the 'good looking' one. Even as a teen my Nysnc crush was Joey. They never let him really sing on his own. The company pushed for Justin and I feel like if they allowed the others to be in the light like Justin most of the group would of had a better singing solo career than Justin. A lot of Justin's song were autotuned once he went solo and were boring songs. He was put upfront as the 'sexy' guy and I feel like Joey is a way better singer and could have been played as a cute funny singer.
