A snowy, blustery, windy day, in western Newfoundland turned out to be very productive for some really nice rabbit hunting, and a bonus, spruce grouse!
another nice video man. the same thing here in Nova Scotia about the less grouse population this season. some friends say it is because of the wheather we got in the spring which made the hitch rate very low.
I saw SO many young grouse this summer I thought this year would be crazy , now it was pretty good up until our first major cold front then they shut off. They’ll be back around when the snows decides to stay … thanks for watching !
I've been out consistently since beginning of Oct in NB. Seen them but haven't got one yet this year. Not as many around this year. Must be due to the wet year we had.
This year seems to be the peak for the rabbit cycle here in NL. Nice few around. However I think this year may have also been near , or have been the decline for the grouse population. Only up from here lol!
Like this every year , when we experience the first cold major cold front they tend to slack off until our temperatures become consistent again. Looking forward to tracking them with the snow !
