The rabbit was definitely NOT playing with the crows. There are probably baby rabbits hidden in among the the taller plants. Crows will kill and eat small baby animals, so the rabbit is a mom trying to defend her babies. Her actions were definitely those of someone trying to drive the crows away. One of the crows was also young. It was begging for food, and didn't really understand what was going on. It even tried to beg from the rabbit because it's parent was busy trying to get at the baby rabbits.
Crows - "Run away, run away!!!" "How many did we lose?" "Dwayne, Hector and Boris." "That's 5." "3 sir, 3." "Well, we'd better not risk another frontal assault, that rabbit's dynamite!!" "Have we got bows?" "No. We have the Holy Hand Grenade." "Yes, of course! The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. Tis one of the sacred relics Brother Maynard carries with him." "Brother Maynard; bring up the Holy Hand Grenade!!"
Interesting that the baby crow was not only trying to get it's parent to feed it, but also seeming to attempt to get the rabbit to feed it and not understanding that the rabbit was attacking it instead. The rabbit seemed to know that the greater threat was from the crow parent, not the baby crow.
Smart and playful, smart yes, playful, not even close. What you’re seeing is two crows trying to kill and eat the rabbit. Just last week 07/02/2021, I saw two crows killing a morning dove, after the crows started eating the dove, several more showed up to feed on it as well.
sad that humans will never cease to inject their own nature into wild animals. Ah yes, those little brains that were designed for fast action instincts and survival definitely have designated regions for playful philosophical insights.
The crow that is screwing with the rabbit is just a baby and is teasing the rabbit. You can see it begging food from the adult. A crow is too smart to try to take on something that could do it harm
I literally owned two rabbits and a crow, sadly i only have 1 cage for the three of them, and honestly my crow is the bully take note my rabbit was fully growned and really big but no matched with my crow lmao
These bunnies are everywhere these days, even in the heart of downtown. I don't see coyotes around much anymore, I wonder if it has to do with that. How can I hunt them in south Seattle lol....
Those “bunnies” are a North American native wildlife species - _Sylvilagus nuttallii_ that has survived the ice ages since 1 million years ago. They have survived and outcompeted dozens of predator species now extinct. They are a precious treasure, so leave them the fuck alone.
