Ma'm, First of all, you answered all the common doubts, also thanks for creating awareness about Rabies. At 11:10, you mentioned immunoglobulin may be needed even in Previously vaccinated person in category 3 bites. I read 'Anamnestic response of antibodies after booster doses that even category 3 bites also neutralised before rabies reaches brain' ? Aren't booster induced antibodies fast enough to overtake rabies virus and neutralise it? So why does a PreP immunised person like me, still have to go through all the troubles and pain of getting my every bite-site infiltrated with Immunoglobulin and Full PEP course ?

Thank you madam. Full of information and practical points. If a person presents to us on day 12 telling that he /she took 0 and 3 doses but missed day 7 , we will continue vaccine as you said. That means on the presenting day we give 3rd dose. Here when will be the 4 TH dose? Is it after 21 days from the presenting day or 21 days from the actual 3rd dose day?

Hello Doc, wonderful presentation. I took full course of ARV (0, 3, 7 and 28th day) because I was unsure if I was bitten or not. Can it be considered Pre-exposure prophylaxis? Also, the first three doses were IM and the fourth dose was ID on both arms. Will I have better immune response now or was it an overkill?

Ma'am,I am very tensed , will really appreciate if you can reply. A rabid dog was found and taken in captive from the IIT Bombay campus on 16th of March. We visited the campus on 24th March, where my three year old daughter fell down on the street and got a minor scratch on her knee which was covered with her pant. Amazing lecture Hello doctor. I got dog bite on hand above thump finger on september 8 2022 a few drops of blood came out. I had washed with water and hand perfume, as no other things were available. I took one injection of rabivax s 1 ml vaccine on same day. And another shot of rabivax s 1 ml vaccine on october 7 after 30 days. I had took only two shots and I don't know about that street dog whether it is alive or dead. The wound has been healed in 5 days only there is no itching. I Am worried will I get rabies please suggest what should I do now?....Shel i take vaccine course 0, 3, 7, 28 or what should i do now Today 65 days have been completed, after dog bite.

If a dog is alive after 10 days we are already taking 3 doses on 0, 3, 7 and again as you said we need to take on day 28...so how are we converting it to a pre? As we are taking all 4 doses hence it is a PEP right?
