The last part of the race felt like when you watch a National Geographic documentary and you know the lion will end up killing the gazelle but you can't do nothing except of watching.
@@kibki5773 They wear great trousers. Bernie Eccleston used to have the crotch area on his trousers tailored for a fuller look. That's probably because they have so much 💵 💵 💵. When was the last time you heard of anyone getting the crotch tailored in their trousers? See what I mean?
Mercedes didnt outsmart anyone. They just had the much much faster car throughout the entire race. If max did a 2 stop aswell, it would have been the same outcome
There's definitely going to be a DTS episode. Lewis' 100th pole, Max's 100th race for Red Bull at the same track where he won on his Red Bull debut and a cracking race between them.
As great of a move that was by verstappen (on the opening lap), let's also give props to Hamilton for having the foresight and reflexes to avoid a collision.
Most of the time it's about the size of a certain bodypart. In other words, when there is a collision, it is usually because of not wanting to budge. Hamilton chose responsibly it seems. He knew the race would be long, losing it in corner 1 was not ok for him. He calmly moved aside.
@@zwivhuyaradzilani5283 Kinda easy to win when you have the best gear.. Max is an absolute legend compared to Hamilton; even with 0 championships he is a better driver in almost all aspects. If you can't appreciate that, then you know nothing about F1: It's always been about having the best car, and sometimes a very nice strategy..
No 1. Copse is a faster turn than turn 1 and 2 in Barcelona 2. In Britain Max was in the racung line and Lewis understeered into Verstappen although he lifted the Gas Pedal. There was no way why Msx should back off because he was clearly in front. Here Msx is on the inside in Adventage because he can defend a "slow" corner (compared to Copse). He ist just defending a position, although he is coming from 2nd Place and Hamilton would crash into him. Again there is no way why verstappen should brake. He is in the better trackposition here. Lewis is the one who is on the wrong side. If he would crash into Verstappen his race would be over for sure.not sure about Max'. Is it understandable what I mean?
but teams wont want to complain bc of negtive press, same as happened to public driver briefings in 2017, it would be nice for us but i just dont think its fair
@@FirstLast-ur6xt Not understeer, he saw max diving for it and.left enough room on the inside, but max ran wide after the first corner and Hamilton and to.back off if he doesn't want a broken car
It’s coming back.... that feeling you get from watching intense racing.... the suspense of a close race. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt it watching F1
I don’t really think he’s underrated, most of us know he’s an amazing driver (especially after how his season went last year), he even had a full episode on DTS titled “The comeback kid”.
Schumacher isn’t doing too bad? He did well trying to fend off the two Williams. At Portimao I found him to be one of the highlights. The Haas car is just horrendous..
@@ultra1obscene There will probably not be a HAAS F1 team in 2022, this season is just about finding a buyer, might become Uralkali-Rich Energy F1 but time will tell.
Interesting Max had razor blades on his elbows and Lewis did well to get out of it to live for the rest of the race. Why was there not a penalty then? We celebrate aggressive driving up to when Max loses.
@@frodo5882 was just explaining to them that they didn’t win, I know there was nothing they could have done where did I imply that there was something they could have done ?
You can’t compare Copse to turn 1 in Spain. 1. In Spain, max carried more speed into turn one. Max was also on the racing line at Spain and Britain while Hamilton wasn’t. The one off line and/or going slower is supposed to yield. In both situations, Hamilton was going slower while being off the racing line. Coincidence? I THINK NOT
@@danielmack8958 No, Hamilton was on the racing line here in Spain - you can see it as the darker grey line on the right of the track, which you can clearly see at 0:09. Hamilton also slowed to let Max through, showing the respect that was lacking from the Dutchman at Copse.
@@tejshah6083 he was on the racing line before they reached the corner but once they turned into turn 1 Lewis came off the racing line Bc Max was to his right. Regardless, Max was still the one with the most momentum in both situations
I'm a Mercedes fan but I applaud your comment. Will say though just remember Red Bull strategy has outclassed Mercedes in other seasons - you just didn't have the car or drivers to make it work for long enough.
A lot of upset Red Bull fans when the same thing happened to them. I wonder if max would have hit Lewis, how many would have said max needed a penalty 🤔
@@-Loki-- i honestly think its time for him to begin to deny this sords of orders :/ there has been so many times where mercedes have taken a win or something else from him.
@@neft16 how can you say that when Lewis is driving what is basically a 2020 RedBull with a little more grip and aero? No its not the car its the driver and if you cant accept that then you shouldn’t be watching the top 3
@@neft16 F1 is also about car development that's why Mercedes is 7 times Constructor champion, who is stopping redbull from Developing better car then the Mercedes.
Watching this after the *British GP.* It’s funny how Max does this move to literally ever driver and expects them to just yield. Well, not this time said Lewis. Max got MAXED at corpes.
Max is ahead at the apex here so is entitled to the corner. At Silverstone Hamilton was a full car length further back than Max is here when they collide. Not at all comparable. If Lewis was ahead of Max into the apex of copse then Max would have rightfully had to back out on the outside like Lewis did here, but that's not what happened.
@@klay1955 you only have to be half alongside going into the corner. It was Lewis’s corner at corpse. It was only the ludicrous lobbying by red bull that caused the penalty. They need to stop winging, it just makes them look desperate
@@chriswood1474 If a front wheel hits the back wheel of another car, they're not side by side. It's classified by axle positioning, not the front wing of a car.
@@braveheart4603 He wasn't really moaning he was more raising concerns that his speed advantage which he had at the time may go away by the time he reached max's gearbox. It's a difficult track to overtake and you need to considerable advantage over the leading car to pull off an overtake.
i think it was a concious risk strategy from rb. since perez cant be there to back and help max out, its basically a 2 v 1 battle, and max can only do so much by himself. also about the tyres. rb only had one medium pair *the ones on max's car* and merc had 2. the fresh ones on lewis and a used pair. im thinking rb thought they cant last with a soft pair for half the race so they risked it and tried to push it as much as possible. thinking had perez been there to maybe hold bottas or lewis off a bit, like bottas does for lewis, that strategy would have worked better.
The first move by Verstappen in turn 1, is exactly the same move Lewis did on Silverstone. The difference is lewis backed of and let Max pass, not the same happened in Silverstone. When Max does this things people say he is an agressive and amazing driver, but when Lewis does this, he's treated as a dangerous and unconcious driver. There is a clear favoritism in F1
They are completely different moves. While both were moves down the inside, Max was much more ahead in Spain than Lewis was in Silverstone. The speed of t1 Spain vs Copse is much slower, allowing for more aggressive racing. Max was also taking the proper inside line here as he hit the apex. Lewis was no where near the apex at Copse.
@@folkert2938 difference is Lewis back out. Who cares if Max hit the apex? He was still going to hit Lewis off the track if Hamilton didn’t back out of the turn.

Quite plausible actually, to test him if he can control his anger and if hes mature enough for F1. I gotta say tho when he puts it all together he might be one of the best young drivers out there
@@taekatanahu635 Got a bit upset after qualifying p16 and gave an interview where he implied his car wasn't being treated the same as Gasly's. Potentially not the same parts, strategy etc...Seems like BS to me
@@carloS-jy1fl Hardly. His on-track performance isn’t making him out to be a new Hamilton so far, and his off-track performance isn’t really making teams queue up to sign him.
2 more wins to 100. Nobody had thought the kid from Stevenage would be out here breaking all these records, say what you will about Lewis but he's come a long way to get where he's at. 🐐
So people are complaining about the British GP that was last Sunday on how Lewis dived down the inside of Maxs car and he had no right to at such a turn, yet here, Max did the exact thing, except, instead of Lewis turning his car into Max, he pulled out of the turn to let him pass, the hypocrites from RedBull and Max fan club play double standard when it suits them.
Before watching this video I thought that lewis did wrong but dude after watching this video, I am on Lewis's side, now I want him to drive as aggressive as he can. hypocrite RB fans
lol hypocrites? Max was further ahead and took the lead at the apex, lewis was alongside and lost the lead before the apex at Silverstone P.S. not errbody who calls it how it is carries a red bull fan club card smh
Yes. Max did it against Lewis in Spain and Lewis did the opposite what Max did in the British GP to avoid the contact. Max always do this type of attack and It's always the other drivers avoiding the collision, no matter if he's the attacker or the defender.
The moment Max passed the pit entry with 23 secs ahead after LH44 went for a 2nd pitstop and still didnt pit, Hamilton immediately had that race in the bag.
Hamilton is gonna win this year. Max can compete driver to driver but red bull as a team is not able to compete with mercedes. Hamilton will win like 9 or 10 races max might get like 5 or 6 but Hamilton will get is 8th this year
Im a max fan and this is not a boring race. This is as interesting race as it could get in Spain. Remember you're not supposed to be able to overtake easily in this circuit
Only boring bit is if the overtaking is done in a DRS zone, feels like the lead car can't even compete, especially if it's Lewis he just carries so much speed into the straights.
@@Ixxlostinabox that’s this track tho it’s very very hard to overtake anywhere other than the drs straight I guess Lewis took the first opportunity he had to takeover if he didn’t do it then he would’ve do it within a few corners after either way

My point is he is repeating the same thing for years now and it's so blatant that he isn't surprised nor challanged at all. YES he is a great driver but it's just not entertaining to see this every RAWE CEEK and expect anything different...
Red Bull were so passive. They can’t afford to let Mercedes outmanoeuvre them strategically like this. Great drive by Leclerq, nice to see Ferrari improving at last.
Yeah not very smart move from Bottas idk if the media got in his head. Lewis and Max were in their own league slowing down Lewis was literally pointless. He was just throwing the win
@@TheBrass18 if I recall correctly, the AWS thing said that max still would have had a lead from his pit window. The merc was also looking pretty bad behind Max, so I don't know if it would've been that cut and dry

If roseberg not retired in 2016 , then vettel would have best chance to win 2017 and 18. Mercedes can’t impose team orders to roseberg what they are today doing with bottas.
Hats off to Pierre for driving the absolute most out of that AT in the end. Scoring a point and getting a penalty in the same race doesn't always go hand in hand...

Ah yes crazy max overtake on a rubberered down right side of the grid and 600m tow to the first corner. His cornering skill was impressive but come on, pole was never an advantage here and the same would have happened if the positions were reversed.
Without the Merc he is still the GOAT. Schumacher conceded that title last year. Hamilton still has a couple years in him. Nobody currently racing is young enough, has the talent, nor the equipment to equal him. If it was all down to equipment, then why is Bottas not winning more races? It could very well be a generation before we see the likes of him again.
