@Holy Ghost remember the radio chat? Leclerc asked where he would finish with his current pace and Ferrari responded that as long as Bottas doesn't catch up he will win. No duh!

When he asked "Can we go to the end?", he initially got no response. Ferrari was like "wait, you're allowed to do that?". It was much later when they told him that he could do it. The "if you can keep Bottas behind, P1" was also masterclass.

Not his last :) His best win was Australia 2019.

For me he is second. I think Bottas is too underapreciated. He managed to keep in front of Verstappen, especially in these conditions, especially considering last year and how he performed, it was a great drive from him and his pace in the end just proved his dominance. But sadly no one talks about him...

I think bottas is the driver of the day, pretty much flawless weekend and flawless race, he couldn't have done it any better. But sainz was also on fire today. And lets not forget that tsunoda held Hamilton for a long time

When the incident happened i thought it would be left alone given it was the opening lap. While i was watching the replays of the incident, i think it was the copy of what happened last year between Ricciardo and Ocon with Lewis on the inside... I don't remember that well but was he also given the penalty that time?

@@171yash I don't know what Gasly could've done to avoid a penalty. As Albon said in the post race show, in this tricky conditions, you have to give more space than you normally would, hence why he gave Perez more space that led to him hitting Alonso. Should've just been a racing incident. It was turn 1, he was sandwiched, and it was wet.

@@danjo1967 Lewis was NOT right. his engineer wanted him to pit earlier, which was the right call, and Hamilton had a hissy fit. This is all Hamilton’s fault. He was gonna start losing pace by the seconds on that old set near the end of the race, like Ocon was obviously doing. It was his whining that forced Mercedes into that awkward situation.
