Hey Brian, Thanks for watching the videos! I haven't done a video specifically like that because I would probably make some people mad at me, lol. I love 2 strokes. I really loved the engine in my KTM 250 XCW, but that was the only thing about it that fit the type of riding I do. If Yamaha made a modern, counterbalanced, e-start 2 stroke that is what I would be on but they don't and the YZ250FX checks all of the boxes when it comes to harescramble/sprint enduro type riding and racing. The suspension and handling at higher speeds is really what sets it apart. The KTM 2 strokes have great engines but the PDS suspension models don't handle higher speeds very well and the XC models have air forks, which I'm not a fan of. I'm also not a fan of the xplor forks on the other models. I spent a ton of money on my KTM suspension but never got it to handle like the YZ250FX. I've also ridden several KTM xc models with linkage that (in my opinion) still don't handle like the FX. I've also spent a lot of time on Chase's TE-150 (linkage suspension) and it handles well but not quite up to par with the FX. My advice would be to go get a 2 stroke if you can keep 2 bikes, otherwise you have the best bike already.

@@DirtBikingwithDonnie Thanks for the detailed response, Donnie. I rode trail bikes in the '90's and have been amazed by the YZFX chassis and suspension. I've had to learn to use the clutch during low-speed technical riding, though, as the motor does not lug like the lower compression trail bikes. I purchased a GYTR heavy flywheel to evaluate but have not installed it yet. I am considering getting a carbureted TE150 to play around with, but I should probably better learn to ride what I have first! I agree that a counter-balanced, e-start YZX would make a lot of people (myself included) very excited. I don't understand why Yamaha continues to neglect that demand. Keep up the great videos! I have never raced, but after watching your channel I think that I would enjoy it. Cheers!
