I’ve been in the market for a new pipe on my ftr and have been looking for that “one sound”. Think I found it with that set up. Thanks for posting it. Looking forward to hear how the new pipe does for you.
I have the same setup but I got the small little baffle for it. I blew out the baffle in a month. I had to bolt it back in with a grade 8 bolt and lock washer with locktite. With out the tune it's got more power with the baffle in fyi.
I bought a racefit for my ftr and is is absolutely ungodly loud 😬 don't get me wrong I love the way it sounds but videos don't do it justice on just what your getting into to! I had to order a wrapped baffle to add because after 20 minutes of riding, my ears are ringing lol 😂
Yaaaaaassssss! Love that damn FTR ( proud owner) but I really Love the excitement bro! Got me pumped after watching it😄 I have the S&S and it sounds very similar...boy does it clack!! Chopping sound like a 1200cc dirt bike💪🏽 Totally made the bike for me and after the remap from the PV3, she’s running even better. Leaps and bounds from stock! FTR group sent me here. Outstanding intro and video quality. You've really got something here. That thing sounds MEAN! I pulled the baffles and cat off my 1200 S RR but it was way way too loud for me. I need to find something that is better than just baffles out but not as loud as no cat. Keep the videos coming! You're on it man!!
Hey, nice exhaust! Could you tell me if you get a code or a tune that comes with exhaust? I have bought a FTR 1200 with same exhaust. But RPMs jump around so much, that at idle it just shuts off. Jumps are from 0-1800. It doesn’t marinara in constant idle rpm.
I bought one of these exhaust systems for my FTR, you have to flash the ECU. Mine did the same thing. I bought a Dynojet to tune it with, but when I tried to find a tune for it on the dynojet website, there was no tune available for this. So I investigated farther, The only and best way to tune it is to send your ECU to Loyds for the tune. They will charge $500 for the tune and it will run great,,, so I hear. Once you flash the ECU from them you can't change it back! I took my Racefit off the bike and continued to use the exhaust without the cats. The Racefit is very loud!!!! my plan is to buy a ECU and have is tuned by Loyds then you can change the ECU and the Racefit when you want to be loud and obnoxious.... It's very easy to change out the Racefit and the ECU when you want to.
@@Terys1 thanks for the answer, thats what we figured. We are in process of reselling the bike, so wont be sending an ECUs anywhere. We prefer using pipes that come with ECU code that can be installed via tollwrench software, meaning it has to be authorized through Indian, less hassle.
What were the options that you picked when ordering? Titanium or titanium etched? and black edition or growler? Don't really understand their difference.
I ordered the Titanium Etched Growler. Etched is when their logo is "printed" in the titanium, and growler means that it has a end cap, so you can mount a db-killer or diffuser :)
