Fun Fact about La Havre. I lived and when to school for 2 years in Havre, MT USA. This small town was originally homesteaded by immigrants from France and was named after La Havre. Keep up the good work!

Lyndon, good luck! I can't even believe what I'm seeing here. I was going through your channel because I've got a recent fascination with Dakar and long endurance races. I started digging deeper and found helmet cam videos of myself from when you lived in the US back around '08. It completely blew my mind. My father and I use to ride with you pretty much every weekend back then. Great to see you're still at it on such a scale and living a dream. We'll be watching.

Really appreciate the details of what it takes to prepare for Dakar. Can't believe that 450 cc puts out 70 Hp! I, for one, love the color scheme (reminds me of the traditional Bianchi bicycles color) as it's so distinctive. Good luck, Bon chance, don't break a leg!

rooting for you. favorite motor rider. further ill be rooting for: de Rooy [truck's] cars/buggy: Coronel. I'm from the Netherlands and we love Dakar. but coverage about the race is not nearly as good as i wish it to be. would love to have a provider to set up to just show Dakar the entire day. nothing else.

With Lyndon's aircraft design knowledge I'd have expected him to use aircraft wiring looms and connectors for both reliability and ease of use. Good to watch though.

So I am assuming that the engine was run in at the KTM factory. I'm not sure that I would want to have a brand new engine on a race like Dakar with out the break in period completed. Nice bike tho I can see why these things run near 100k to build.
@Lyndon Poskitt Racing, What is the brand of that fork seal tool!? that is a really nice one. Pro Grip model 714, nobody has designed a better grip than that.
