Racetec delivers my 604 pistons 

Very impressive and taking ownership to find out what happened and how to prevent it from happening again, and delivering the product to you personally is the kind of company that my grandparents and parents grew up around. Great to see a company striving to take care of the customers!

That was very nice of Racetec to deliver and shed light on the issue.

Ive often said, the mark of a good business isnt that they never make mistakes. *Everyone* makes mistakes, but a good business will do anything they need to do to fix the problem and make it right with the customer. Sometimes you can even turn a never-again into a life long customer

Dude I ordered from a very well known racing piston manufacturer after 13 weeks waiting for a set of pistons and they were not custom pistons Just kept getting delays. I called Racetec they told me 4 weeks I put the order in they were delivered 3 1/2 weeks later not even 4 weeks. couldn't be happier. learnt of Ractec from watching Dennis Taylor build the big block for Alex's car.

Great follow up from the manufacturer, and really cool of them to continue to look for better ways to improve their customer service and design/development departments. Great to see in manufacturing.

That is great service from that company. You won't think twice about ordering more of anything with confidence knowing if a mistake is made they will bend over backwards to make it right. Thank you for sharing this situation and hopefully other companies will learn and do the same for their customers. Mistakes do happen but sometimes making it right doesn't happen

Well, that is a great outcome. Thumbs up to race tech. I think you handled that extremely well. Not only did you get what you ordered, you helped race tech understand and see a weak link in their communication. Then, they took action. It sucks when this happens, but it's nice to see a good outcome.

This is WHY it is very important to have a VERBAL conversation that is very CLEAR and has NO ASSUMPTIONS in it with the person(s) producing the product you need. VERBAL + WRITTEN = BEST COMMUNICATIONS; granted both parties have the proper mindset. My machinist here in AZ is a RaceTec promoter. I would not let him buy them for me because of the past video. I went with a Wiseco instead. The RaceTec brand might be excellent, but if the staff are not looking out for my best interest, and dotting all I's and crossing all T's, why would I want their product in my precision race engine? Thank you Trey McFarland for coming on to explain what happened, and correcting the issue for Daniel. Nothing infuriates me more than paying top price for a top product, and receiving the wrong product with a dismissive attitude.

Mistakes and bad things happen. How responsible parties step up separates them from the deniers. Racetec stepped up! Good for everyone involved.

Wow I'm just blowing away that race tech would do that I've been left holding the bag on so many occasions from all sorts of manufacturers in many different aspects of life and that's amazing that they would step up and be a good human and company

Finally, someone in 2024 stepped up goes a long way, especially for the people they make pistons good for you!

Rare to see a company own their mistake and make it right, even rarer to have it hand delivered. Shows volumes about them and that even after being in business as long as they have they realize nothings perfect but are willing to do what’s needed to make things right. That’s how business should be, in end both parties happy-👍. Much respect to both of you on how you handled everything and for showing us the outcome- still 2 great companies left in America.

So refreshing to see someone take responsibility and step up to the plate and make things right. Sadly a pretty rare thing nowadays. I’m damn impressed by the Cust Service provided by RaceTec….. I will def be using them more often, just bc, like you had said, it’s hard to get the Cust support at this level. Sure if I’m spending 8k on customs, it’s diff, but at this price point, this is very impressive. Good on Ya RaceTec, makes me dang proud to say I have a set in my personal LS, for over 2 hrs now.

Glad to see this resolved correctly. RaceTec set me up as a dealer several years ago at PRI. Their pistons have worked great in my applications from hot street to circle track to marine. Always dimensionally spot on.

Wow! Im glad you got the pistons you needed. Sadly It's an uncommon thing in today's business world for a company to admit they screwed up and fix it with this level of service. Racetec Pistons has a very good quality forging biggest problems has been the Old school deburring by hand the set of 8 I got 3 was scratched and dinged up racetec replace one the replacement they sent was top shelf after seeing this video I would buy again from them 👍🏻

The results could not have been better.Its nice to see a company that cares about their product. The only problem is ,we all dont have a way to get companies to listen. thanks for putting it out there.

The fact that RacTec took the time to personally address this issue says alot about the company.

In the mid 70s I built a 330 Olds with big block heads. We had Arias make pistons. We were dealing through a local speed shop so information was going back and forth second hand. The pistons they sent had a tiny little bump that wouldn’t do. I designed a piston and made a model out of an old flat top and boat resin. I sent the drawing and the model and they made them and didn’t charge extra.

Pity that it took RU-vid to make them stand up, but I’ll be calling them first for next set of pistons. Good on them!

i have used ractec for over 10 plus years and anytime there was an issue with pistons that were made wrong, they always fixed the situation without an issue

Good to see Racetech and Trey reaching out to make it right. However, it does look alot like damage control from negative publicity on their part. Us normal folks usually end up sh!t-outta-luck on a deal like this. Maybe they do plan to make a big change now? If so, that is fantastic!!!

I'm glad things were resolved here. However it's just a sad reflection of how society/ business has gone when to resolve an issue ( instead of having good customer service and being taken care of ) you have to make a video or social media post about the problem to get it resolved . Good for them to be attentive of their reputation among customers , but it should have been resolved way before a VP of a company sees a video or post about it. At a minimum, that tells us middle management needs retrained or replaced . Without customers, nobody in any industry has a job.
