I didn't appreciate Rachel enough while her season was airing. I loved her as bachelorette, but it's only now after Hannah B and Peter as leads that I'm realizing what a gem we had with Rachel.

I know. Rachel is the first African American bachelorette and she breaks the mold for Bachelorette leading ladies in the best way possible. My respect for her sky rocketed after this epic confrontation. I especially love the part how she gave DeMario the boot.
I'm sure this was a setup by the producers. Rachel said at one point " I didn't fucking signed up for this" they played her and embarrassed her with the confrontation. That's why she didn't even want to speak to Chris Harrison and was walking away from the cameras. You can tell she was also mad and hurt by them for playing her like that and that's why she said "I'm so annoyed and I wanna go home" and I'm sure she said to the producers no more BS like this or I quit the show! If I were Rachel I would be pissed with producers for putting me in this position. Why does the first black bachelorette have to be set-up this way? Part of me wonders if he was keeping Lexi as a glorified 'side' chick because of his perception of her as a person or if it was because of the color of her skin. I'm not sure if this will be addressed on the show but sometimes in our community people while venture off to the other side for 'fun' with no intention of bringing that person home. This saddens me just as much as the person of color who states that they only date outside their race. Neither is justified in my opinion, love should have no boundaries. Rachel proved that she was sincerely here for the right reasons and I hope that all people look to this as an example why not to play with the emotions of others.
