Rachael demonstrates many advanced techniques on this production and a superior 'grasp' on them. Great to hear ! Thanks for posting,MrBluesCollector. Regards, Greg.
@MrBluesCollector I think what maz meant was it is being played at a faster tempo than the original.it is but then Magic Dick plays it a lot faster sometimes.Ive tried it both ways and its actually more difficult to play it slower! Ain't no doubt a-bout it tho , thats one little Girl that can really blow!
Yeah, I thought it sounded faster. To be honest I also thought it sounded better. (especially after the piano break) Maybe one day if I get the courage I'll download and play it on VLC player where it could be slowed down to make it easier to try... use the + or - key on the keyboard to speed it up or slow it down. Pitch stays the same. She does hit her notes right on the money at super speeds and is right up there with the very best! Let's be honest. She outplayed the piano player!
Stop three the upward warble set of 3 is done here as a tongue-tap - otherwise Rachelle a very cool harp performance - top note bend has vibrato, which few people nail - superbe! Held at the end it is actually thrilling -bravo. For vocal gliss, check Oscher on Muddy Unk In Funk album. PS We drove hundreds of miles from Scotia (Nouvelle-ecosse) to hear Magic Dick - his stuff stands the test of timeHis current shows have a cornet-type staccato that reminds one of no less than Louis Armstrong.
Where'd you get this one from? No question Rachelle's a great harmonicist but to me this recording sounds like it was being sped up at least a little - could this be true? Great tune anyhow!
Je n'ai jamais su la vrai signification de whammer pour ce morceau en slang whammer peu etre plusieurs choses ... je ne sais pas si vous savez ce que Magic Dick pensais en écrivant ce morceau
