Does anyone here know if there is something behind the 'Morceaux de fantaisie, Op. 3: No. 2. Prélude in C-Sharp Minor Sergei Rachmaninoff: 10 Preludes, Op. 23' ?I mean, what motivated Serguei Rachmaninov to compose it?
Amazing technique, But...I feel his tempos on many are too fast! Much of the refined subtleties are lost...I guess at his age he's out to prove his worth as a Virtuoso pianist with these blistering speeds.
Esageratamente veloce in tutti i preludi. A me questo Rachmaninov suonato così non piace, anche se molto pulito. La tecnica deve sempre essere al servizio della musica!
Років 10 тому я вперше почув почув 24 прелюди Рахманінова у виконанні Дмитра Левковича Відмітив,що звучать вони так,ніби виконує піаніст,який іх сам і створив,тобто як композитор. Я розповів про це батькові Дмитра-Олександру Левковичу.Виявилось,що Дмитро закінчив консерваторію ще й по класу композиціі!
