Rachmaninov: C Sharp Minor Prelude 

One of my favourites. I learned it last year, and you helped me with it. In a way, the "simple" beginning is the hardest in the sense of keeping it interesting rather than "just repeating". It is wonderful hearing your rendition.

I like the contrast between the slow, soft beginning and the fast middle section building intensity then returning to slow and quiet for the ending.

*this* is dark. Dark, to me, is more than a key or a mode, it's a melody, too. And this opening is me staring at the abyss. And your rubato here is perfection. Stick this on a record and sell it.

This piece is exciting.
